My family and I were in Dover for our niece's wedding. On one of our free nights, after the wedding, we were looking for a local place to eat. I prefer to eat local vice chain restaurants when I can. I found Vincenzo's had pretty good reviews, so I thought we should give it a shot. Getting into the parking lot and finding a spot was challenging. That was when I realized that this place was legit and would probably live up to the reviews I've read online. The place was packed and we had to wait about an hour, but I will tell you, it was worth it. We were all very pleasantly surprised by everything. The food was terrific! To start off and whet your appetite right with a small portion of wonder bread. Warm and wonderfully soft, it didn't last long! Then I got my starter salad. Now, most of the time, these salads are just ok and fluff to help keep your hunger pangs in check. But this simple salad of just lettuce and diced tomatoes was very light, crisp, and refreshing! I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of it and could have eaten two or three times that amount because I enjoyed it so much. But I'm glad I didn't because I was able to save room for my main course. The lasagna I ordered was one of the best I've ever had! Just the right amount of cheeses, sauce, pasta, and meat. Although a smaller portion than I would have liked (because I loved it so much), it is probably the proper portion size for a "healthy" diet. The wife had the calzone, and she said she loved it! My mom and dad had Italian sandwiches, and they enjoyed them as well. (They're older and don't change their diets too much ;)) The entire staff, hostess, waitress, chef(s), sous chef(s), and all others did a magnificent job handling the busy dinner rush and not missing a beat! It's hard to find a place like this, and the reviews should probably be higher than they are, but I'm sure most people won't be disappointed eating here! Unfortunately, I won't get to visit this great establishment very often as I live in Florida. But when I do come back to Dover, I know where I'll be...
Read moreVincenzo’s Italian Restaurant in Dover is a culinary gem that I cannot recommend highly enough. This charming eatery has managed to transform an old bank into a delightful dining space, blending historical elegance with a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s a unique experience that adds a special touch to every meal.
The menu at Vincenzo’s is a testament to authentic Italian cooking. The stuffed shells are a standout dish, perfectly cooked pasta filled with a delectable blend of cheeses and topped with a rich, flavorful tomato sauce. Each bite is a delightful mix of textures and tastes, showcasing the kitchen’s skill in traditional Italian fare.
Another highlight of my dining experience was the tiramisu. It was a flawless rendition of the classic dessert - light, creamy, and delicately balanced with the right amount of coffee and cocoa flavors. It’s the perfect way to end a meal on a sweet note.
What I particularly love about Vincenzo’s is the attention to detail in both their food and their service. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that enhances the dining experience.
In conclusion, Vincenzo’s Italian Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for top-notch Italian cuisine in Dover. The combination of delicious food, the unique setting of a beautifully converted old bank, and the excellent service makes it a standout dining destination. A well-deserved five stars for an unforgettable...

From the very beginning, their team was incredibly professional and accommodating, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. They even came to our home to personally set up everything, which was a huge relief on such a busy day. Their punctuality was spot on, arriving exactly when they said they would, and their setup was flawless, creating a beautiful and inviting display for our guests. Beyond their excellent service, the food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and truly a hit with all of our guests. Many of them commented on how much they enjoyed the meal, which made us so happy. They provided the Gianna special, Chicken parm, baked ziti, meatballs, broccoli rabe, mozzarella caprese, bread, and so much more. What really stood out to us, besides the delicious food, was how friendly and attentive their staff were throughout the event. They made sure everything ran smoothly, checking in regularly but never intruding, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our day. In addition to their outstanding service and quality, the pricing was very reasonable. For the level of care, attention, and professionalism we received, it was a fantastic value.
