Beggars Pizza — Restaurant in Downers Grove

I had heard so much praise for Beggars Pizza, and finally, the stars aligned, allowing me to experience it firsthand tonight. Let me tell you, it exceeded all expectations! The pizza was nothing short of amazing. Every bite was a delight to the taste buds, leaving me craving more even after the last slice.

In particular, I highly recommend indulging in their stuffed crust pizza with ricotta cheese. It's a culinary masterpiece that takes pizza to a whole new level of deliciousness. The combination of gooey cheese oozing from the corn-bread crust and the rich flavor of ricotta is simply irresistible.

So I ordered a deep dish pizza and picked it up , when i got home I realized it wasn’t a deep dish pizza , called back , they said they would credit it and I told them I wanted a new pizza , the one I ordered , the guy told me he would fix it and have it delivered , it is now over a hour and a half and I’m still waiting for my pizza ( I live a block away ) , I called to find out what’s going on with the pizza and the girl was very short on the phone with me and said there was nothing they could do …. I just feel like with me being in customer service all my life , if the establishment has messed up you try to keep the customer and fix the situation , give them something free or atleast a coupon for their next visit , not tell them they can’t speak with management , and then tell them they don’t care about losing you as a customer …. Poor job , and I will never order from...

The atmosphere is mediocre. I ordered a chicken barbecue pizza with sausage, broccoli, spinach, pepperoni with half jalapeño. There was no spinach‼️ Fake chicken‼️ or imitation chicken please don’t get it‼️😡 The lady that waited on me was very nice though, the best thing about the restaurant. I did ordered for pick up & one thing I will say, they are consistent‼️ The French fries taste like rubber (horrible -just the way I remembered I hadn’t ate there in a long time. This was the first & last time this year‼️ I won’t be returning‼️ I did tip 15% off the grip. I’m always going to tip no matter what‼️ The cheese was cold in a run down container that didn’t even close that’s how much they thought of me‼️ I didn’t notice before I left the restaurant because of how they had it packaged.
