I wish I could give this place zero stars. This place has gone down hill. I'm not sure if it's because of the new staff there or what, but please do not waste your money on this dump. We've been going here for the last four years and the food was always delicious, and we highly recommended them to family and friends. It was our go to spot since real Mexican food is hard to come by around our area. We even take the drive because it used to be worth it. Today marks the third time in the last year the food was disgusting. It's like they stopped caring or maybe its because of my ethnicity. I say that because today they laughed and spoke Spanish while making our food and that offends me. Starting with the fair price, one of the most reasonable in town for a three taco dinner, attractive enough to keep me remembering- ordered the gringo regular - steak cilantro and onion on corn tortilla. The food was well made well seasoned with fresh ingredients. The rice and beans were certainly made that day, seemingly not mass-produced and stored, those were delicious. The only poke is it seems crumbled cube steak is used, which is fair to say the smaller the grain of meat, the better the bite of course, but in turn the meat was a little dry. Do not let the name fool you!! This restaurant sounds like a fast food joint, but the quality & variety of the meals are far beyond it. I ordered a vegetarian Gordita & was shocked by what I received. I've included pictures to showcase what was served. The Gordita crust was PERFECT. A thin crunchy layer around a thick, soft toasted dough. It was absolutely stuffed with tomatoes, lettuce, beans, cheese & avocados. Served with some rice & chips as well. Cannot say enough.
