Not all locations are equal. Honestly, having been to the Chinatown location many times before, I felt let down and that the food here could've been better. The boiled fish tasted flat and like it was missing the signature numbing spice you tend to find in most szechuan dishes. For the almost $20 price point, it also felt like the amount of fish didn't really add up to the cost. The szechuan style string beans didn't do it for me either, and virtually had no heat at all to it and was borderline on the verge of going bad as it didn't have that fresh bite to it. Lastly the seafood noodle soup... not even sure this is a Chinese dish.
Probably the only positive that came out of this takeout order was that we scored a reusable bag. Pretty sad I had to write this review, but will likely make the trek out to Chinatown next time I have the itch for some szechuan...
Read moreLiterally the worst Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Firstly, upon delivery the driver tried to force me to give him a tip of my card, which I never do. I always provide cash tips. He was very aggressive and even walked off on me as I was explaining to him why there was no tip included on the receipt. I then go in the house and take my food out the bag, remind you I paid $16.95 per entree so I’m expecting a good size portions. They were literally lunch container sized that my 8 year old can eat on her own. The combination rice was so spicy it was almost unbearable with little to know meat included and the orange chicken was so hard we couldn’t even chew it. I spent a total of $36 and the food wasn’t even worth half of that! Completely UNSATISFIED and they will NEVER see another...
Read moreOrdered online thru Google and it went thru Uber eats. The order errored out and I had to do the order again. When I got there to pick up my food, I was informed that I had two identical orders to pick up! Instead of calling me to verify this was correct when it came through, I was left with $100 worth of food. Zero sympathy from the owner about the situation. He just insisted that he was out 30% because that’s what Uber Eats takes from them. I get that, but sometimes in customer service, you take the hit to keep continued business. Now I’m out $50 instead with no intention of ever going back. AND, the beef and broccoli and egg rolls were pretty terrible. To be fair, the orange chicken and fried rice were good. But, there’s better places out there who treat their customers better- try...
