I’m literally copying my yelp review and pasting it here so everyone can see it "I ended up at Fatima's Grill" quit literally. I had been wanting to visit this place since I found out they had a location in Montebello. I just never got around to go. But today, I decided to take the quick drive and head over. Just to find out it's PERMANENTLY CLOSED. (I was so bummed) | did a quick google and seen that the DOWNEY location said open. I went ahead and decided to give the location a call before hand, just to be sure it was up and running. (The phone was answered very quickly.) I let the man who answered know why I was giving them a call. The man on the phone was very kind. Before we hung up the call he said, "drive safe." Personally, it's the little things. You never know what someone is going thru, and that little kind moment can mean so much to someone. Fast forward to arriving to the location. I step up to the register to order, the man at the register says, "you coming from Montebello right?" I'm not even gonna lie I was like what the heck, yes. Lol he's like I saved you guys a table. Mind you the location isn't HUGE, it had maybe like 6/7 tables max. And when we got there it wasn't empty. So right off the back I was like this is AMAZING service. Because yeah, Montebello isnt too far from Downey, but still. I had to drive. lol Back to ordering, I placed my order and he allowed me to pay afterwards. Told me to make myself at home. Which again I love. I wasn't sure if it was a pay up front type of place. The food came out quickly! The presentation of the food was awesome. (Gotta be able to take an IG picture or it didn't happen) the FLAVOR OF THESE DISHES ARE AMAZING!!! They have signature salsa (and yes those were amazing as well) but honestly their food was so flavorful you didn't need to add anything. (But I did) haha while I was eating I noticed the man sweeping, interacting with guest, honestly it looked like he knew everyone who walked in. Just to end this very long review. The service was TOP TEIR but what makes the service outta this world, was that the man serving/taking orders/cleaning/engaging with the guest was THE OWENER! I don't know how you guys feel when you see the owner putting in work out there but I LOVE IT! It just shows how much they love what they do! They're not afraid to be out there working with people. I've worked customer service my whole life. Retail, fast food, hospitality, beauty. I've done it all! And the one thing I always noticed was the uppers always "claimed" to stay grounded and humble but never did I ever see them out there working like where they came from. And I know they don't have to. But it's just a breath of fresh air to see that for a change. Great job to the owner for keeping it real! I'm sure your staff love you. Thank you for making my experience...

Read moreLocated in Downey, CA, Fatima's Grill is a hidden gem that offers a delectable blend of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. Recently, I had the pleasure of trying out their menu, which includes a variety of dishes, including the Hot Cheetos Burrito, Shawrma Mix Wrap, 3 Meats Kabob Platter, and Philly Cheese Steak.
The first thing that caught my attention was the warm and inviting ambiance of the restaurant. The comfortable seating and beautiful décor create a relaxing atmosphere that is perfect for enjoying a meal. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly, providing excellent service throughout the evening.
Now, let's talk about the food. Fatima's Grill offers an extensive menu that includes a variety of dishes, each with its unique flavor profile. One of the standout dishes was the Hot Cheetos Burrito. This unconventional dish is a must-try for those looking to try something new. The burrito is stuffed with tender meat, beans, cheese, and crunchy Hot Cheetos, making it a spicy and satisfying meal.
The Shawrma Mix Wrap is another dish that stood out to me. This wrap is filled with tender, juicy meat, fresh veggies, and a tangy garlic sauce. The combination of flavors is simply divine, and the wrap is an excellent option for those looking for a lighter meal.
For those who love meat, the 3 Meats Kabob Platter is a must-try. The platter comes with skewers of chicken, beef, and lamb, all cooked to perfection. The meat is tender, juicy, and full of flavor, making this platter an excellent option for those looking for a hearty meal.
The Philly Cheese Steak is another dish that is worth mentioning. The sandwich is stuffed with tender, thinly sliced steak, sautéed onions, peppers, and smothered in melted cheese. The sandwich is served on a freshly baked roll and is a great option for those looking for a classic American dish with a twist.
Finally, talk about some of the dishes that are already favorites on the menu. One of my favorites is the hummus. The hummus at Fatima's Grill is creamy, smooth, and has the perfect balance of lemon juice and garlic. The pita bread is warm and fresh, making it the perfect pairing for the hummus.
I also appreciated the Muslim-friendly service at Fatima's Grill. Thank you very much and look forward to returning in the new...
