Not so positive but it’s important people know. We visited Pops Cafe. It was a terrible experience. Over the past few months the food has been mediocre. We’ve tired to be understanding but this experience is not acceptable. I ordered the ABT omelette. My wife ordered blueberry pancakes with eggs. And my son ordered Belgium waffles with fruit and a side of gravy with biscuits. This is the size of the omelette i recieved. No bigger than a jack in the box taco. Actually even smaller. Eggs are expensive you may say? Well this dish is now a whopping $20.00. Yup. They raised the prices 40% across the menu and are serving this up. A hair was found in my wife’s eggs, food that wasn’t ours was being brought to our table multiple times, my son’s biscuits were served cold and mushy, they also didn’t add the fruit to the waffle. Multiple items had to go back. When the omelette was remade the waiter sarcastically said it was made with 5 eggs for you. Yet the difference was definitely not seen.
When I spoke with owner the next day all she said was I wasn’t there and they should have offered you to take some items off the bill. You’d think she’d offer it then? Nope. She offered us some drinks on the next visit and was reluctant to talk about the food that we received every time i brought it up. In other words because she wasn’t there she couldn’t help me. The owner gave off an impression like she knows she has a mass volume of clients so it didnt bother her. The waiter just kept apologizing over and over with each mistake. Didn’t even address the hairs in my wife’s eggs....
Read moreIt's a very nice place. It's interior decor is interesting to look at and the ambience of the place is very much like the feeling of home. Arrived around 10am maybe waited around 20-25 min, as it was busy. Noise level was very high more than what I'm use to maybe because it's a smaller place and you're closer to others around you but just a heads up to those who aren't high noise tolerant. As for the service, the service was very efficient, quick, and friendly. Food arrived at an orderly time. I ordered the spinach omelette with country potatoes and blueberry pancakes. The country potatoes were good a little salty but it had a nice flavor with the green bell peppers and onions. The omelette said it had swiss cheese and I LOVE cheese but honestly didn't expect it to be craft singles swiss cheese. I'm a pancake person but I unfortunately couldn't love their pancakes it was just too bland for my palettes. Anyway, for the price of the food it was reasonable. However my review of this restaurant is in no way a negative one and more of a critical review. I do encourage others to go try this place out and leaving with your own opinion and experience as we are all different. If you happen to have read all this kudos to you. Have...
Read moreI love little places like this. Pop's Cafe is found in a discreet shopping strip. The restaurant front is no frills. As a matter of fact, they have a type of carpet inside and it's not even linoleum or tile. Not sure how they keep it clean. However, the food makes up for it. I had the Chicken Fried Steak with the Irish Potatoes (hash browns with grilled onions and bell peppers) and eggs sunny side up. The Chicken Fried Steak and the gravy was really good. The hash browns, however, were not as good. The outside was crispy, but the inside seemed a bit undercooked. It wasn't horrible, but a little more time on the flat top would have helped. The sunny side up eggs were good as well. It came with two slices of pre-buttered toast. The orange juice that I got was good. The service was fine. The waitress was friendly, but she didn't check up on us kid meal. Not that we needed anything, but it's always good when the server asks how everything is going. When we first arrived there was plenty of people waiting to be seated. It took about 20 minutes for the two of us to get seated on a Sunday at about 11:30am. By 12:30 there wasn't a wait. If I'm in the area again, I'll stop by for breakfast. Beats a Denny's or IHOP, in my...
