Sushi & Teriyaki Plus — Restaurant in Downey

I came here with my family when it first opened. And at first thought it was ANOTHER teriyaki place. But it is anything but an ordinary place. The owner is so nice to us when ever we come here. And the food here is tremendously good! And the price is a hell of a lot cheaper than any of the other teriyaki places here in South Gate. And the food is so delicious, its one of the reasons why we come here once a week! The sushi is really authentic. Four dollars for the California Roll, and Five and change for the spicy tuna roll. You'd think for such a cheap price, its also really cheap. But oh no. It is anything but cheap. Its really top quality sushi and sashimi. In conclusion, the food is 5 star quality. the environment is really clean. place is a little small, but all great things come in small...

This spot had been recommended to me after I mentioned to my barber that I was looking for a "good place to eat ramen," He told me this place had a good "spicy ramen" so I thought, let's give it a try. Well, this place is the very definition of "mediocre" in every aspect.

First off, when I say the ramen looked like they cracked open a 25¢ package of cheap ramen, that's not too far off from 100% accurate (see attached photo). And the traditional soft-boiled egg was replaced by an exceptionally hard-boiled egg instead. No such thing as "Tonkotsu" or "Hakata" as options. It's either Beef or Chicken Ramen...and it's almost TOO spicy! Not flavorful spicy, more like uncomfortably pungent spicy! Rounded out with a lackluster green tea (at $2.50 a cup) and you have the epitome of an average...

Great sushi at a great price, clean restaurant with, fast and friendly service. Looked up sushi around and found this place glad to have given it a shot and did not disappoint. Good menu they have appetizers, soups, salads, teriyaki, and sushi. My significant and I went with a chicken teriyaki plate, consisting of chicken teriyaki alongside rice and salad. Very good portion and very good teriyaki flavor chicken was mostly white meat definite plus in my book. For sushi, she got the crunch roll, and I got the spicy tuna tempura. Both rolls were great portions good price and overall tasted amazing, added some soy sauce, ginger, and Sriracha 💣. It's not a big space, but I definitely enjoyed a good meal at a great price. Would recommend and will be coming...
