First time at this restaurant and I will not be back. Poor service, food is over priced and mediocre at best; unappetizing at worst. ”Crostini” from the appetizer menu appeared to be a slice of pizza served with a side of arugula. I’ve eaten crostini in a lot of Italian restaurants and never seen it like this. Obviously a very cheap plate to produce and pass off at a high price. —in fact every dish seemed to be prepared on the cheap: the Bolognese sauce is “puréed” so impossible to detect any actual meat in it and is such an odd orange color I suspect it’s merely a red sauce blended with oil into a sort of dressing. The Gorgonzola cheese plate was truly bizarre: a slice of cheese served with two pieces of butter and a carrot “salad” (shredded carrots served on a lettuce leaf). I’m still not sure what I was supposed to do with that butter! The lasagna bolognese was a small portion served in a sauce that resembled the color of vomit ( the “puréed” bolognese previously mentioned). The spaghetti bolognese gave off a distinct unpleasant odor that reminded me of canned Spaghetti-os from my childhood. Service was very, very poor. We were dining early on a Friday evening—the restaurant was near empty when we were seated. Had to flag down the server to ask for bread to eat that Gorgonzola cheese plate with and he said, “Sure” and never came back with it. I returned the cheese plate uneaten to the kitchen and no one—not the server, not the OTHER server who took the plate away, not anyone from the kitchen—stopped by the table to ask why. It was not removed from our check, either. There were three in our party: two entrees were served and then had to wait a good ten minutes for the third entree to be served—obviously some screw up in the kitchen. Server never returned to our table to ask how things were. When we asked for the check, he did finally offer bread! The pasta was cooked well and the atmosphere/ambience is very nice, but neither of these factors off set the other issues with this restaurant. Too many really good Italian restaurants in the area to waste time or money here.

This was by far the WORST experience I have ever had in a restaurant! I had two friends visiting the area. I made a reservation for a Sunday afternoon. When we arrived, there was NOT ONE OTHER CUSTOMER in the restaurant. She asked if we had a reservation (as if that would have even mattered, but yes, we did). We got seated, we had drinks served ( my friends drink tasted like water and she had ordered Grey Goose on the rocks) We then asked for bread, we were given ONE SLICE EACH!!!! NOT EVEN A GOOD ITALIAN DIPPING SAUCE, only a bottle of plain olive oil that was sitting on the table. Upon ordering, I asked if I could taste a sample of the one sauce that was an option for the ravioli special. I was literally told NO! I COULD NOT HAVE A SAMPLE!!! The reason? There is only a certain amount made and it can not be used for anything other than that meal? I NEEDED TO TASTE IT TO DETERMINE IF I WANTED THAT ON MY MEAL, OR DID I WANT A REGULAR RED SAUCE ON MY MEAL??!! On to the appetizer!!! OH MY GOODNESS! As if it could not go any further downhill. The appetizer platter was a few slivers of overcooked eggplant and squash. with the majority being a huge pile of shredded carrots in the middle. It was amazing that they thought that was worthy to send out and that they could possibly consider charging $14 for it!! When we asked to speak with a manager we were told there was no one to talk to and when we explained how displeased we were (and we had not even received our meal yet) the young girl who was both the hostess and waitress ( wearing a very dirty waist apron) flat out said, we could just leave if we were not happy. WHAT!? We wound up going to Hopscotch 22 for top notch drinks and then to Chambers 19 for an AMAZING meal!!!! I wish I had read more of these reviews before going to this place. Sad really, it is a cute building, but what poor service food preparation. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Please consider another venue if you desire a pleasant and comfortable dining experience. Saturday, 5/21/2022, the experience really did not have a single high point…we picked up a pizza from a favorite place afterwards and enjoyed this as dinner. Service: 4 top, lots of waiting for drinks and then the cocktails were served warm, we were warned dinner would be a wait so that was fine. The servers were trying and we felt for them. There seemed to be an organizational issue…we were not sure who was responsible for service of our table, repeated our orders to multiple people asking for it, ans had to find the hostess to pay the check on the way out after a 15 min wait, at the table, to pay the check. Food: The Parmesan cheese plate had carrot salad and pats of butter on half of the saucer size dish it was served on. It also was not served with bread until we asked why butter was on the plate. The cheese was presented in bite size chunks on half the plate…it was not visually appetizing. The other apps were served as expected and were also not impressive.. Upon arrival of dinner…,one person could not eat their chicken dish and we did not send it back as it seemed to be a challenged evening for the establishment. By this point we were confused because they were busy, but were not enjoying the experience. Also, the Saturday pasta with spinach and cream sauce (manicotti type dish) was delivered crunchy, tasting burnt, over broiled I imagine…and when one asked for a steak knife to cut it they did oblige and did not inquire why it was needed :/…see attached picture. They seem to own a few places on the block, we had pre-cocktail at the Pags Pub and regretted not dining at the pub instead. People seemed to be enjoying the dining experience at this establishment.

Wow. Here we go...

We sat down at 7:00. 15 minutes later we finally get our drinks. After that, server was MIA for another 30 minutes. 30 minutes. Eventually what seemed to be the owner chef guy with very broken English came out to read us the specials of the day and after doing so, stood there staring at us so we gave him our entree order? We had no idea if he was now our server or just the owner or what. He took down our order (table of two) and then went to the table nextdoor and took their orders (table of 5).

Forty minutes later, we don't see our appetizer, and no one checked on us for forty minutes. We timed it because we couldn't believe it. Eventually we noticed every table next to us got bread, and servers were attending them. We were completely ignored for some reason for almost an hour straight. Eventually they came out with our app, which was something that looked like a single mom would make their toddler. Pizza bread. Was so mid for the price. Server didn't even ask us about our empty glasses that have been empty for almost an hour. We told the server we would be cancelling our order and leaving because this is ridiculous that no one came to our table at all but the table literally 5 feet away got served and bread and everything.

Finally was able to raise my hand and stand up to get the attention of a server who rushed over , heard me out, and went to that same chef boss guy who then proceeded to come to our table and tell us "Your food is cooking right now it will be out soon"

THIS WAS 15 MINUTES AFTER THE TABLE NEXT TO USE GOT THEIR ENTREES AND THEY ORDERED AFTER US!!??? AND HE DIDNT ASK ABOUT OUR DRINKS OR HOW WE WERE DOING OR ANYTHING, TURNED HIS BACK IMMEDIATELY AND WALLED ASAY AS I WAS TRYING TO ASK HIM A QUESTION ABOUT OUR DRINKS.

1 HOUR. ZERO SERVICE.

For such a nice place it's amazing how easily they throw out their experience by having absolute trash service. Worst experience dining I've ever experienced.

Never again such a disappointment. The man walking around like the boss is ruining the servers jobs and made it awful. Let the servers do their jobs stop coming out and taking orders for them. Clearly it isn't working. And don't turn your back to a frustrated customer who just waited over an hour to get their first water and beer refill.

Save yourself the time , it's a pretty spot...

I feel bad writing a bad review as this is the first time I have ever done so. I went to this place in early 2023 and remembered it being so good, so when my friends and I were looking for a spot to catch up on Thanksgiving eve in Doylestown I thought this would be perfect. We were sat in a really awkward table next to the staircase. Our initial waiter was a nice young guy but he was soon replaced by an older gentleman who was pretty monotone. When we got bread rolls, I asked for butter, and he was just like "what, you don't like olive oil?" I didn't realize there was olive oil on the table but he could have pointed it out when dropping off the bread or just said yes when I asked for butter and said "and just so you know, you also have olive oil right here." It was awkward and I felt like I had to apologize for asking for butter. When he took our order he wrote nothing down, which I know more experienced servers feel like they can get away with but in this case he obviously needed to. He had to come back to double check what apps we asked for. For my main course, I asked for vegetarian lasagne and I may have annoyingly repeated that I wanted the vegetarian lasagne, but I am a vegetarian and as he wasn't writing anything down and just repeated back to me "lasagne" I wanted to make sure he got it right. He jokingly said "ok, the meat lasagne" and laughed, so I laughed back. Well lo and behold, the meat lasagne came out. When I asked to change it he said it would be 25 minutes, and asked if I wanted something else instead so I reluctantly ordered the rigatoni w/ cheese, but was afraid it would basically be mac n cheese so I asked if they could add mushrooms. It still took at least 25 minutes to come out so I might as well have waited for the veggie lasagne and it was basically mac n cheese with the measliest portion of barely cooked mushrooms on top. He never asked if we wanted parmesan cheese or anything either. The chicken on my friend's chicken pasta was inedible and my friend's swordfish was not good. We didn't want to be annoying so we didn't ask for anything comped but he never even offered to comp anything, despite the mistakes and the waiting for my meal. We were excited to finally leave and I felt the need to apologize to my friends for choosing this place, and honestly I probably...
