This Jawn Slaps 🔥
As someone born and raised in Philly, I’ve had my fair share of cheesesteaks from every corner of the city — from Passyunk to Roxborough. But let me tell you something straight: Steaks on State in Doylestown is the real deal. No exaggeration — this is the best cheesesteak in all of Bucks County, and I say that with my whole chest.
From the second you unwrap it, that smell hits you — warm roll hugging juicy, cooked to perfection. It’s got that slight crisp on the edges, soft in the middle texture that Philly heads know is mandatory. But the real star here? Cooper Sharp cheese. Not just melted — I’m talkin’ fully infused into the meat, creamy and bold, pulling that perfect stretch when you take your first bite. It’s not just a topping here — it’s part of the soul of the sandwich.
The roll? Straight-up on point — soft but sturdy enough to hold the whole masterpiece together. No soggy mess, no breaking apart. Just that ideal balance that lets the meat and cheese do the talking.
Eating this thing is like teleporting to South Philly — blindfold me, and I’d swear I’m on Snyder Ave. It’s got that old-school, street corner, grill-fired magic. You taste the love in every bite. And the portion? Don’t even worry — you’re eating good.
If you know, you know. And now you do.

I didn’t get any pictures because I was way too busy...

I don't think I'm going back.
On the plus side, the service is good. And the staff is friendly. But it's not Coaches, which might have been a dirty place but the steaks were good.
