A Disheartening Experience at a Place That Should Promote Unity
I am deeply saddened to share my recent experience at this restaurant, a place that ostensibly serves up community alongside its cuisine. Instead, it served us an unsavory dish of discrimination, rudeness, and undercooked food.
From the moment we entered, there was an unmistakable disparity in the level of service and respect provided. The staff seemed to go out of their way to cater to white patrons, providing them with prompt and courteous service. I left feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. A restaurant is a place where all customers should be treated with equal kindness and respect - a fundamental aspect this establishment seems to have overlooked.
To add insult to injury, the food served to us was undercooked. This not only showcased a lack of care for customer satisfaction but also hinted at a disregard for basic food safety standards.
It's truly disheartening that this restaurant, which should be a beacon of our local Muslim community, instead chose to become a symbol of inequality and prejudice. As someone well-integrated within the local Muslim community, I find this deeply unsettling. Our faith teaches us to value unity, respect, and equality for all, values this restaurant has chosen to ignore.
In conclusion, this restaurant failed to provide not only quality food but also the basic courtesy and respect that all customers deserve. I strongly urge those looking for an inclusive, welcoming dining experience to seek out other...
Read moreI was so excited that there was a Middle Eastern restaurant in Doylestown. I took my daughter last night for a celebratory dinner. Thinking back...walking in, there was no aroma of all the spices that make the food what it is known for. We ordered the special appetizer...fried artichkokes (14.99)...what a disappointed! We also got the cold mezze appetizer plate...tabbouleh (strange flavorless mass mostly cucumber) They called it Hummus...what! It had absolutely no flavor...store bought sabra (which i do not like) tastes better. The third was copanata...had the best flavor out of the three...that is a gift! We also had to try the Fallafel...my favorite...ugh...over cooked ( I make a better vegan version my entire family raves over!!) The tahini sauce (served in a black plastic to go container) was runny...watered down? Really...for that price! We both got the specials. My daughter got Spicy chicken kofta...it was two very small pieces of "meat" on the plate(darkest chicken I ever saw)...with another cup of the flavorless stuff they called hummus...rice...and what seemed like costco frozen asain stir fried vegetables??? I got the Veggie Grill...was literally one thick...very thick onion slice (that was raw ...no seasonings whatsoever ) and a piece of toamato on a skewer on top of not so good rice and a pile of those asian frozen veggies...I even got a water chestnut...since when is that medditeranian??? I could say more...We usually give places a second chance...for a grand total of $93...we will...
Read moreFrom the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel like we were visiting family rather than just dining out. The staff at this incredible Palestinian restaurant were truly exceptionalâeach person took the time to make sure we felt comfortable, attended to, and genuinely welcomed.
Now, the food...where do I even begin? Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with authentic flavors that transported me straight to Palestine. The hummus was smooth and creamy, the falafel crisp and perfectly seasoned, and the lamb dishes were cooked to perfection, tender and full of rich, earthy spices. Each bite felt like a lovingly prepared home-cooked mealâjust like something youâd enjoy around the table with family.
The warmth and care the staff put into every aspect of the experience, from the attentive service to the heartfelt conversations, turned dinner into an unforgettable evening. It wasn't just about the food (though the food was absolutely amazing)âit was about the genuine connection and hospitality that made us feel like we were part of something special.
This restaurant doesn't just serve great food; it offers an experience you can't get anywhere else. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Palestinian cuisine with a side of family-style hospitality. We'll...
