Chamber the Other Side is not adhering to the Covid safety guidelines. Although the tables were appropriately spaced to have dinner they did not account for the overflow of people that joined a table. When this happened I felt as if my personal space was compromised. Then, the patrons freely walked around unmasked back and forth from the tables to the bathroom or in and out of the restaurant. Two of the cooks were in and out of the kitchen unmasked. Did they cook the food back there like that.?. My guess is yes because if they felt comfortable allowing the patrons to see them unmasked on the job then I can only imagine what they did in the kitchen where we aren’t able to see. When the waiter came to the tables he would put his mask on but otherwise it was off. He did of course spray down tables but not once did I observe him washing/sanitizing his hands before handling dishes. You might ask why didn’t you get up and leave. At the start of my night only 2 tables were occupied one being the one I was at. Things became apparent slowly throughout the time I was there. By the time I saw the cooks our food was already at the table partially eaten when I noticed and decided not to further my meal. This is not my first outing or restaurant experience during Covid there have been plenty of others. All the other ones made me feel comfortable to be there and return. This place on the other hand didn’t allow me to enjoy my evening. Although this is a place I frequented for years with a friend I will think twice about returning and have already suggested finding a new place to catch up, breaking our tradition. I am hopeful this business with take the safety of themselves and their patrons more seriously and address these concerns promptly. Also, don’t order the fish tacos they were bland and served at room...
Read moreSecond time coming to Chambers. Was expecting a great meal as i had the first time and was not dissapointed. Amazing food and very fresh ingredients. The reason i am giving 3 stars is due to the service that my family and i received.
They sat my party (3 people) in the "green room" as they called it. The green room has one 4 person table between the two halves of the restaurant. After we sat down we were mostly ignored the entire night except for when they would come around with the food.
We waited 25 minutes before anyone even came to the table to take our order, and once we had completed our meal, we waited nearly another 25 minutes before our server came back with the check. He then told us specifically that he had forgotten about our table! Have to admit the honesty was atleast nice.
Oh and we had also put in a reservation for the patio and once we had arrived, they told us that we had no reservation and they even had the nerve to tell us we had to wait an extended period of time if we wanted to sit on the patio because they "had other reservations waiting" .... we were the reservation that was waiting!! Lol
So anyway, in conclusion. 3 stars because of the wonderful food! But the service really needs improvement at this establishment. Hope to see...
Read moreIt's a popular place alright, and I've been going here for years. But I must be ordering the wrong food - most of what I order is average. And the last time I was there, I honestly have to say those were the saddest nachos I've ever experienced. I'll keep trying other things because the ambiance is so nice and the wait staff really try so hard to be cheerful and attentive - they are in no way accountable for the kitchen entrees - and every time I think to say something about how disappointing the food is I bite my tongue instead, not wanting them to look and feel bad about something they didn't cook. Anyhow. I wish someone in Doylestown would have knockout nachos (crispy chips topped with shredded beef (a good shoulder roast seared on all sides in oil, then cooked in a crock pot overnight with onions, salt, garlic powder, chilie powder, cumin and tomatoes, maybe some jalapeno) and slathered with a cheese sauce (mix a roux, then add fresh milk, cheddar, pepper jack and American until thick) )and finally chopped lettuce, tomatoes, olives, guacamole and sour cream & salsa. A girl...
