Came here on a Saturday night for a much needed date night. Heirloom is BYOB, which is great for us. There's a liquor store about a mile down the road.
Start to finish, this meal was a 10/10 experience. Atmosphere is relaxed but simultaneously upscale. Farm to table vibe with relaxing folk, indie rock, jazz playing softly. Servers were all very very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Chef was friendly and came over to talk to our table. Just a really warm and positive vibe here all around.
Menu was limited but unique, I actually love a limited menu like this because it allows for the chef to focus on each dish, and that was the case here. We started with carrot ginger bisque. Some of the best soup I've ever had. Warm, sweet, buttery, but also not overly rich. Just a perfect blend of flavors. Followed by complimentary NORD bread with whipped ricotta, out of this world.
My wife had an arugula salad that was tender, fresh, and delicious. I had two small plates as my entree- a rice and crash dish that had bacon infused in the rice- crab was fresh and delicious, all flavors complimented each other with notes of sweet, savory and acid. I also had the burrata which was served with Nord bread and roasted tomatoes, roasted onions, and a few other acidic greens. It was just phenomenal and again continued this trend of well balanced flavors and perfectly seasoned dishes. Nothing was overly salty or one note in flavor, just well balanced and bursting with flavor.
My wife had the strip steak, which was PERFECTLY cooked medium rare, and coated in an almond pesto, which gave a very nice acidic balance to the steak. The steak was tender and flavorful, a perfect cut and perfectly prepared. It was 12 ounce and easy to devour.
Dessert was cheesecake infused with a bit of green tea matcha. Creamy but light, and a perfect finish to an outstanding meal.
We will 100% be back for dinner and want to try lunch as well. This was a fun and outstanding experience from start to finish. Truly a hidden gem that will grow in popularity...
Read moreHands down, Heirloom is the best meal you will have in Doylestown, regardless if you go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
I have been 3 times for breakfast/brunch, lunch, and dinner.
In these 3 visits, for breakfast, our party got the Market Omelette, Cast Iron Pancake with berries, Heirloom Benedict, and bacon. Every single item was amazing. The Heirloom Benedict is so unique with the flavor and ingredients. Truly, the best breakfast I have ever enjoyed.
For lunch, we got the Chicken & Hash, Chilled Corn Bisque, and Grains & Greens salad. All were delicious and the Chicken & Hash was a great option if you like bowls with a combination of different foods.
For dinner, we got the Mutabal, Tagliatelle e Oro di Sole, and Grilled Hangar Steak. We also enjoyed the Donut Beignets with Hazelnut dipping sauce and a Blueberry Puff Pastry with ice cream dish. All were absolutely delicious. The flavors of each dish was made to perfection, fresh, and unique. The Donut Beignets are not something you want to pass on! INCREDIBLE.
The environment is calm and welcoming, has clean and trendy farm to table vibes, and adds to the experience.
The staff is friendly and helpful, always willing to accommodate any need and answer questions thoroughly.
Also, a plus that’s its BYO, great location, and close to available parking.
You can tell that each dish is made with care, extra time, and to perfection. The chosen ingredients allow you to feel good and satisfied after the meal, but not like you ate too much. You definitely feel like you’ve eaten fresh and good quality food.
Thank you for incredible meals! We can’t wait...
Read moreCute tiny restaurant with a cool vibe. Candlelit and pretty flowers. Went here for date night and we had dinner. We brought a nice bottle of wine and had a lovely time. Service was lovely and our server/waitress was super friendly and accommodating. We arrived at 8 and left at 9:50 so we spent almost 2 unrushed hours here. We started off with soup it was a huge bowl so we shared it. Italian sausage and bean. It was super yummy. It’s a great place to get different dishes and share. We shared everything and honestly the portions are deceptive because we were STUFFED by the end. I think it’s because the food was so decadent and rich.
Everything was seasoned well and again the portions were perfect for sharing we got the goat cheese and pear salad and the burrata and beet. I wish the burrata had a little more blood orange because it was to die for with the burrata.
We then had the funghi tagliatelle and steak with potatoes and carrots in a crème sauce. The tagliatelle had a rich umami flavor with a wine cream sauce with cabbage and thyme. Pasta was fresh. Again super different flavor profile. Maybe German? So good and filling. The steak was cooked perfect. We also had loads of the cornbread with fresh butter.
Everything was fresh and everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We finished off with a blood orange lemon tart which was rich and yummy. By the end of the meal my husband and I were stuffed! It was a lovely experience and we will definitely be back here...
