I’m originally from New Jersey and finally thought we found good Chinese food in Florida, nope they already fell off! We started going here about 3 months ago, most recently we had been ordering the house lo mein which on the website says chicken, shrimp, and beef. We do not eat pork.
This weekend we wanted some Chinese food so we ordered our usual bourbon chicken, and house lo mein. We live 30-40 minutes away depending on the traffic. Only to get home and it contains pork. Now I know some house lo mein’s contain pork, but this one was always chicken, shrimp and beef. We called them and they said next time we would have a replacement chicken lo mein on the house. Went the next day for lunch and ordered a chicken lo mein. Get back home it contains pork, shrimp, and chicken.
We bring the item back and I’m accused of bringing yesterday’s meal. I said “no feel how hot it is” she apologized for the mistake and asked to remake the meal AGAIN. I said “no I can’t trust it anymore I don’t eat pork for religious purposes”. I then asked for my money back and she did give me my money back. I however, am concerned with them already cutting costs and reading the reviews about mystery meat when it contains beef.
It’s kind of weird they don’t take the pork thing seriously with a Jewish and Muslim population near the restaurant. I am neither, I am a catholic and I do know eat pork. I think I’ve given up trying to find decent Chinese food in Orlando. I’ll stick to...
Read moreUpdate: This place has already been kind of either a hit or a miss, like others have mentioned I've had some amazing experiences or I've had some really bad ones. For example I'll get fried rice that is white rice with veggies, nothing to really show that it's been tossed in any sauce and the chicken is tossed in a flavorless sauce which is honestly a shame because when this place is good, it's really good.
FINALLY this shopping plaza has broken the curse of mediocre, uninspired, overhyped food with some amazing Chinese food. Everything here was delicious and packed with flavor and now crowns my favorite chinese restaurant in the area. The egg roll was crunchy and not overly greasy with delicious filling. The chicken was juicy and not dry and the garlic sauce was fantastic. The pricing is fair with the portion size, especially with the lunch special.
My only complaint is that I asked for more spice and it wasn't spicy at all, but I totally understand that a lot of people don't like spice so they play on the side of caution. Either way I'll definitely be back for...

We’ve been wanting a good local Chinese take out place for so long and Bamboo Wok now fills that role.
The food came out fresh, hot, quick, and tasted incredible. It reminds me of my grandparents Chinese cooking. You feel happy afterwards 😁
Above all the pricing is amazing! All other Asian places in the area are charging crazy prices, but Bamboo Wok is priced perfectly that it makes it an easy yes to dining out or picking up take out. Especially their lunch price that includes a drink. 👍👍
We were so impressed that now we are excited to work our way through the menu and try everything. It really is that great!
Keep in mind there are only 2 tables currently so it really is more of a to go place. Hopefully they can squeeze some more seating in somehow but it’s easy to see a lot of the orders will most likely be for take out.
Highly recommended. The sweet and sour chicken is amazing. 👍👍 Hopefully they can get some media coverage from social media influencers on instagram etc to get the word out. This...
