We stopped by Nola’s Ice Cream on a Monday night, and it was such a delightful experience! The shop is cute and quaint, with a cozy, welcoming vibe. It was super clean, and the floral ice cream cone wall decor was such a creative and fun touch—I couldn’t stop admiring it! The service was also amazing. The girl who helped us was so friendly and enthusiastic! She let us know we could sample up to four different flavors, which made the whole experience even more fun. You could tell she genuinely loved sharing what the shop had to offer. They have a great variety of homemade ice cream, with both vegan and dairy options—so there’s something for everyone. I also saw a sign outside for National Donut Day on June 6, and they’re doing a buy one, get one free special… best believe I’m coming back for that! Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the Dr. Phillips area and craving something sweet.

So cute! i attended the soft opening as i’ve been following the owners on social media for years and was looking forward to having some ice cream and it exceeded my expectations! ice cream was so delicious, atmosphere was amazing, and everyone was super friendly. it was exactly how i would imagine what a soft opening would be like, some chaos, everyone chatting, and a line out the door to prevent it from getting too crazy inside. i had the cereal milk ice cream and brookie monster with i think it was some type of cinnamon and sugar cereal balls all on a cone and it was absolutely delicious. i went to try to fully support the owners, not knowing if i would actually enjoy it but i left being a loyal costumer now! im excited to go back and try different flavors.

My husband and I both agreed Nola’s is now in our top three favorite ice cream places of all time! Every flavor we tried made it harder to decide which to actually get. I went with one scoop of dark chocolate and another of the brown sugar ice cream, and my husband had one scoop of the brookie monster and another of the Vietnamese coffee (this one was probably both our very favorite). Every flavor we had and tried was INCREDIBLE and the server was so so sweet and patient as we debated what to get! We are visiting from out of town and plan to go again one more time before heading back home. Highly recommend this place!

We appreciate the effort and creativity that goes into running a small business, but our experience fell a bit short of expectations. The wait time was quite long—about an hour—and it seemed like the service team was unevenly distributed, as they focused on fulfilling a large order before attending to smaller ones like ours. Some of the flavors we sampled had a noticeable aftertaste, which might not appeal to everyone. Additionally, the price felt a little steep at $15 for three small single scoops. While there’s a lot of buzz around this spot, we think there’s room for improvement in service flow and flavor consistency to...
