Biryani Bistro — Restaurant in Dublin

It appears the restaurant is now under a new management as the name changed and the service has deteriorated significantly. It was to be my favorite place. I recently ordered a take-out and was told it would take 15 minutes. I left and came back 40 minutes later and was promised "they are making it" with estimates of "5 more minutes". Another patron who was in the same predicament just muttered, "Just give me anything, I'll eat whatever you give me." That's how bad it was.

Finally food came out 55 minutes after ordering. I complained but the two employees there just laughed me off. There was no apology, there was no attempt to make things right or even explanation.

I considered asking for a refund of the tip that I had given when I signed the credit card earlier but I decided to drop it because I was hungry. It was a tip of 15% on a take-out which I thought was reasonable, but they did not deserve the tip. This is a reminder not to tip before service or completion of order.

I sincerely hope the (presumably) new owner of this place reads this review. Train your employees to have better customer service, offer something to make up for their mistakes or delays. And most importantly, thank your customer, apologize if...

I tried this place the other night with my cousin. I ordered the chicken pepper fry as an appetizer, and for the entrée, chicken tikka masala with chili garlic naan.

Food: The food was fantastic. When we requested a hot spice level, they delivered. The portions were generous and flavorful at the right price, earning a 5 out of 5 for food.

Service: I am giving the service a 4 out of 5 because we ordered mutton masala, but it somehow wasn't included with the rest of our food. It wasn't a big issue since the chicken dishes were filling. Other than that, the service was great. The staff member who took our order was kind and humble, offering us water as soon as we sat down. Despite having many online orders to handle, our food was served in less than 10 minutes.

Atmosphere: The atmosphere deserves a 5 out of 5. All the tables were clean and wiped down. We were the only diners, making it quiet, which was fine since many people were picking up DoorDash orders.

Overall, this place gets a 4 out of 5. If you decide to eat here, just double-check your order...

We’ve ordered food from here many times over the past couple of months, and while we had a disappointing experience recently, the restaurant went above and beyond to make it right. After we reported that the food didn’t taste like it usually does, they promised to look into it.

To our surprise, they not only followed up but also sent us a replacement order, delivered straight to our home. The food this time was absolutely delicious—back to the quality we’ve always loved from them.

Some of our favorites from here are the Gongura Chicken Boneless Biryani, Gongura Chicken Curry, Chicken Pepper Fry, and Chicken 65—they’ve always been flavorful and consistently great.

Truly one of the best biryani places in the Bay Area.. We really appreciate their customer service and how they handled the situation. We’ll definitely continue...
