Embarking on a culinary journey to Chaat Bhavan in Dublin, California, proved to be an enriching experience that transcended mere sustenance. The establishment's humble exterior belies the vibrant tapestry of flavors that await within. As we entered, greeted by the aroma of spices and the gentle hum of conversation, a sense of anticipation filled the air. Opting for a selection that promised both indulgence and balance, we savored the Chili Paneer, a dish that seamlessly melded the boldness of chili with the subtle sweetness of paneer. The Garlic Naan, freshly baked and adorned with fragrant garlic, served as the perfect accompaniment, its warm and comforting texture a testament to the artisanal skill of the kitchen. Amidst this symphony of flavors, the Raita emerged as a refreshing palate cleanser, its coolness offering respite from the lingering heat of the chili. Each bite, each sip, became a moment of mindfulness, a reminder to savor the present and appreciate the simple pleasures bestowed upon us. Yet, it was not just the culinary delights that left a lasting impression. The staff, with their unwavering hospitality and genuine warmth, elevated the dining experience to one of true tranquility. Their attentiveness, coupled with a serene demeanor, spoke volumes of their dedication to the art of service. In the midst of life's chaos, Chaat Bhavan emerged as an oasis of calm, a sanctuary where nourishment for both body and soul could be found. It is a place where the senses are awakened, where moments of joy are savored, and where the journey of self-discovery finds its humble beginnings. As we departed, filled not just with the satisfaction of a well-fed appetite but also with a sense of inner peace, we knew that Chaat Bhavan would hold a special place in our hearts. For in its humble halls, we found not just food, but a reminder of life's simple yet profound joys.

Excellent vegetarian restaurant offering mostly Indian street food and North Indian cuisine. Loved the service, vibe and food taste. Very less spices were used in the preparation. Normally, we cant think of punjabi dishes with less chillies. After several months indoor, tasting our favourite items in a dine-in setting felt like a paradise. They have a great system of scanning the QR code to get the menu on your phone. Here is an item wise review: SAMOSA - 2 small pieces in a plate served hot with tamarind chatni and cilantro chatni. Taste was pretty authentic. Best starter. I think a bigger size could have been more satisfying. CHOLE BHATURE - This is an evergreen meal relished during any time of the day, be it breakfast lunch or dinner. Bhature were well cooked and fluffy. Chole were delicious too. I would recommend trying this one. AMRITSARI KULCHA - Best part of the entire main course. Beautiful combination of spices and well cooked. 4 triangles in 1 plate. SAAG PANEER - This is basically Palak Paneer. I am deducting 1 star because of this since I felt the taste was a little bland. I had to add salt and spices were pretty less. I have tried better saag paneer at other places. Can be improved. RASMALAI and KESAR PISTA KULFI - These 2 typical Indian desserts were mindblowing. I wish the quantity was a little more! Overall, a must visit !

Quick stop for an early dinner after the day was spent with friends going around the mall. Got in there and parking was easy to find in the parking lot. We were a group of 6 and didn’t find it difficult to get seated as soon as we got in though the place was bustling with folks. We were in some mood for sev and pani poori to being with and following it up with a main course. Ordered a couple each of Sev Poori, Dahi Batata Sev Poori and Pani poori to begin with ( group of 6). Tasty and very well prepared for each of the items. At times these can get soggy if not prepared with care. Moving on to the main course we ordered their Tava Roti ( absolutely love their Tava roti) along with Malai Paneer , Tadka daal , Saag paneer and Chana saag. Enjoyed every single dish especially the Malai Paneer and Chana saag that stood out as the best out of the best we ordered :). Some on the table did order a few gulab jamun for the desert part though I refrained and had tea instead . Awesome outing with some great quality food that makes it all so worth it. Chaat Bhavan serves probably one of the most authentic vegetarian Indian cuisine in and around Bay Area and if you haven’t had a chance to try them out this far, please do so.. Till next time!!!

I was at Chaat Bhavan on 7/29 for lunch with my family. We ordered a Thali, 2 Butter Naans, one Gobi Manchurian and a mixed veg kuruma. I am not someone who writes a bad review unless it is absolutely bad, but this one was a night mare.

Thali was served with a small tumbler of rice, in which they usually serve curries. When we asked for more rice, they provided another such tumbler. People order Thali inorder to eat rice, and I do not understand giving Thali with such a small quantity of rice in it. And even after checking on it providing such a measly quantity again is absolutely poor service.

Gobi Manchurian had cualiflower which was absolutely raw. Somebody needs to tell the chef the Cualiflower that goes into batter for frying is either boiled or steamed or sauteed a bit to get rid of the rawness. Also the manchurian sauce is supposed to be made out of a set of ingredients like soy sauce, tomato sauce, pepper, vinegar, chilli sauce, sugar etc. I understand everything may not be used everywhere, but just tossing the batter fried raw cauliflower florets and bell pepper in tomato sauce is not the way you make Gobi Manchurian.

Mixed veg kuruma again had the uncooked Cauliflower. I couldn't find any other veggies in it although it was supposed to be "mixed veg kuruma". My dad said he managed to find some potatoes and carrot slices in it, seems it was his lucky day. That curry was charged $14.99, atleast add some veggies worth $1 in it.

Last but not the least, you're running something like a fine dining restaurant. Atleast print the bill and provide to the customer. I was shown the bill on a credit card machine, and asked to enter the tip and tap the card on the machine(and tap didnt even function). Atleast provide the bill to the customers so that they can check the items and write the tip based on the service without being judged.

I am not sure if all the reviews are genuine about this restaurant. But there is a lot of scope for improvement about food being served, service and overall operation. Hope the owner sees this review and work on...

Thank you Gurjeet, Gary, and the entire Chaat Bhavan staff for all of your hard work in preparation for, and executing, our wedding events this past week. Your help and flexibility in planning our North Indian dinner, chaat appetizers, South Indian breakfasts, and beyond was outstanding and a major reason why our catered breakfasts, lunches, Sangeet and Wedding Receptions were a success. Not to mention, the food quality was just as deliciously high as when I've eaten in store at your restaurant.

I especially want to thank Gurjeet for his attentiveness in planning our events as of one year ago. My father in law and I would go into the restaurant to talk to him and he never hesitated to sit down and go over menu details with us, even if he was busy with his day's work. Gurjeet never rushed and always took the time to listen to our specific requirements. Further, his attention to detail, like remembering we needed 10 Jain-friendly meals per event, was exceptional and he executed on these points without fail.

Gurjeet was also incredibly prompt in responding to our emails with updated invoices, and in providing catering licenses and proof of insurance for our event venues. Our hotel venue in Pleasanton, where Chaat Bhavan provided two catered breakfasts and one catered lunch over two days, was quite particular in what they required of outside caterers, and Chaat Bhavan was able to meet all of their requirements. This is no small feat and a huge relief to know Chaat Bhavan could provide all necessary documentation as my wife and I had so many vendor logistics to sort out ahead of our big day!

Thank you Chaat Bhavan for opening your doors to our family over the past year and being a huge part of our realizing our dream wedding events. Thank you for returning every email and phone call when we had questions, and for nourishing our guests with top quality food to make this truly the most joyous time in our lives.

With much love and...
