Ā Ā Ā Read moreI regularly shop here, primarily for the unique selection of vegetables and spices that I can't find at Costco or other local stores. However, Iāve had some deeply troubling experiences during my visits, particularly at the checkout. Unfortunately, there are three women working at the cash counter who consistently engage in behavior that feels nothing short of bullying. Also charging 10x extra and refuse to look back.
Once, while I was at the food counter, a gentleman who used to serve pani puri asked me where I was from and if I lived nearby. I responded politely to avoid any awkwardness. However, during a subsequent visit, when I was standing in line for food, he singled me out, instructing me to step aside so that other customers could move ahead of me. This was both surprising and uncomfortable, and these same three women at the cash counter have exhibited similar attitudes.
This kind of behavior creates a hostile environment that turns what should be a pleasant shopping experience into a burdensome task. As someone who values good customer service, I find it disheartening that such unprofessional conduct is tolerated. Customers deserve to be treated with if not with respect at least with kindness, especially in a business that relies on their patronage.
To add to the distress, there was an instance where one of the women made an inappropriate comment to my daughter. I chose to ignore it at the time to avoid escalating the situation, but itās not something I should have had to overlook.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as the atmosphere created by these employees is driving me to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI honestly wish Google had a way to give 0 stars.
Iāve been visiting India Cash and Carry in Pleasanton regularly for both groceries and their cooked food and snacks. While the food is generally decent, my experience with one particular staff member at the live food counter has been consistently unpleasant and frustrating.
There is a lady with a round face who handles the counter and she seriously needs customer service training. Her attitude is outright disrespectful. Weāve bought multiple items each week, never asked for discounts, and always paid full price. Yet, her tone and behavior suggest weāre doing something wrong by simply placing an order. She often ignores customers, responds rudely, or acts like weāre asking for free food.
On top of that, quality control has been an issue. A few times we ordered shahi paneer to go, and all we got were dry paneer cubes with barely any gravy, and she flatly refused to replace it when politely asked. Even worse, on multiple occasions we received stale chutney packets, which made several family members sick.
Whatās more disappointing is that similar complaints have already been reported in older reviews, which clearly shows the owner is either not paying attention or simply doesnāt care. This level of dismissiveness and carelessness is unacceptable, especially when weāre paying good money.
Unless the staff's attitude, especially hers, changes, I will not be returning, and I would caution others to be careful when ordering food here. A business thrives on repeat customers, and treating them like a burden is a fast way...
