On our way to Yellowstone, we stopped at The Perch for our morning joe. Dubois (pronounced DEW-boyz, jes’ so ya know) is a beautiful little town in scenic Wyoming. The Perch was a great way to start our day when you’re grading the quality of a man’s coffee.
I’m not sure who all works at The Perch. Perhaps there’s a female crew? And I’m not asking because I take offense to a distinctly male presence with my morning coffee; I like men to be men and one should be able to count on that in a state like Wyoming.
All that to say that they weren’t the man-bun, hit-you-in-the-feels kind of men (no offense to the man-bun types…intended…can’t help what you do with it). They were the tell-me-what-you-want-then-get-yer-butt-outta-the-way kind of men. Which is all right by me as long as their coffee is good.

Without greeting me, the man working rudely asked if she was a service dog. And then seemed like he didn't want to help me. I ended up just getting a cup of drip coffee and leaving. We had a long drive home to Star Valley, WY or I would have just walked out. Probably won't be back. For Dubois, I was very surprised. Went into two other places in town with my dog, no problem. I was carrying her and there were no other customers in your shop. Pretty...
Read moreGreat local place to stop and grab a good cup of coffee when you filling up at the gas station across the street. If you are lucky, like me, you'll catch the local news from the older generation about where to find and how big the snakes really were 😂. The owner (at least I think it was) was polite, nice and caring about the customers. Unlike a lot of people who are probably tired of tourists, a quick smile and friendly hello was a welcome addition. I recommend stopping here whether you are staying in town or...
