American Deli — Restaurant in Duluth

So I placed an order and went to pick it up yesterday . I handed her $50 BILL while I was filling up my drink she (the owner) was deciding if she wanted to take the bill i handed to her. She even used the money marker and in fact marked as it was valid but idk why she handed me back the bill and said I don’t want to take it and nodding. I asked her why even though it had a valid legit mark and the only thing she said was “i don’t want to take it” and refused to tell me why. The bill as you can see it had just a small rip but again we all get different kinds of bills with some writing or a small rip. So I guess she likes to receive perfect crisp bills smh 🤦‍♀️. I was ready to just drive off but because my son was with me and hungry I ended up giving her a bigger bill and left with our food. Just don’t like that she couldn’t give a reason as to why she didn’t want to take the first bill. We were in the area at the time so most likely won’t be returning if she is there lol. I’ll see! Average experience overall - staff was nice, place was clean, and service was efficient. My three stars comes from the fact that during a lunch rush, the place seemed to turn into a bit of a disorganized mess. Only half of my order was right, I ordered a gyro meal and fried rice, got the gyro meal but someone else's Buffalo chicken meal which I'm not a fan of. The staff seemed to be tripping over each other a bit to fill orders, but I respect that even amongst the chaos they were still polite and efficient. The three stars also comes from the fact that the food was nothing exceptional - the gyro was tasty enough but drenched in sauce so it was hard to make out other flavors, and the ratio of items in the wrap was a bit imbalanced. The Buffalo chicken had little palatable uniqueness to it other than being spicy, but it really just tasted sour to me with no balance (truthfully, I'm actually not even sure if it was Buffalo sauce). The celery that came with it was dry and tasteless, they did give a very generous serving of fries though that weren't bad. All in all, what I paid wasn't really worth the experience and I'm hesitant...

Well well well, I continue to see non sanitary acts in restaurants. A cook there at American deli was handling a garbage can with his sanitary gloves on and then handled food without changing gloves. I told the cashier who appear to be the manager about it and she said (with a "yeah whatever look") "I'll tell them." That same cashier also hustled me. I wanted a burger combo and a two piece fish combo (for my aunt) and she said I'll have to give you a one piece fish combo and add a fish and I was like ok. Then she apologize and said I'm sorry you'll have to order a minimal two pieces of fish in a combo and I was like, ok 😏. Finally, she gave me my total of thirty one dollars and some change and I thought to myself that doesn't seem right but I went with it. I was tired and sleepy (somewhat of a long story) and just wanted to get back to the car and eat. After arriving back to the car I discovered that I had a burger combo, a two piece fish and hushpuppies combo, and a one piece fish and rice with veggies combo.
