We had a slight wait of about 10 minutes without reservation on a Sunday for lunch. Reservations would be recommended during busy times. Deb was the hostess and is super nice and helpful. Kali was our server and very helpful and knowledgeable. This is a vegan, GF and regular clean food establishment. I ordered the Southwest Panzanella salad and ordered smoked salmon to go with it. It does have the skin on it. So beware. But it's "the proper way in my book" to get the salmon to come out right. It has that southwestern flare of flavors with some Italian nuances. Like the buffalo mozzarella. Wow was this tasty. Ordered a black coffee. It was perfect.
For me, I'm a fan of good coffee. Not a coffee snob. Just good coffee. Cheap coffee you have to doctor it. Good coffee is great all by itself. And this is that deal. Order it black. If you have to doctor it, that's your deal. Not needed in my humble "foodie" opinion.
Finished up with a French silk pie that I shared with my wife. The coffee goes with that too. The pie crust is that typical flaky style but it stands on its own. It doesn't break apart. You can actually hold it by the crust and eat it without making a huge mess. But it is hard to cut if you wanted to eat with a fork. I'm guessing it has extra egg white in it to firm it up. But I'm only guessing.
If you are visiting here. You must stop by and say hello to Deb and Kali and tell them I said hi.
If you're a book/reader person. They have "adoptable" books for sale under $5. They rescue them from being thrown away. I have enclosed a photo of part of their library.

Read moreMy party ordered the lamb and vegetable soup (the soup du jour), the croque monsieur with yam w fried chicken sandwich with truffle fries, and the kimchi fried rice Buddha bowl with fried tofu.
We appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and the book case in the back of the restaurant. Our server was helpful in providing recommendations for beverages and food.
The lamb and vegetable soup had ground lamb and assorted vegetables in a tomato-y broth. It was good however a bit bland.
The Korean fried chicken sandwich was good. I especially enjoyed the homemade pickles and slaw. The chicken itself was a bit dry and burnt in some places. The dish overall was quite salty but the kimchi helps cut through it slightly. The truffle fries were slightly underwhelming and could have used a bit more truffle flavor.
The croque monsieur was great, slightly salty as most are, but still very delicious. The yam fries were also great.
The kimchi fried rice bowl was also greatly enjoyed. The fried tofu was nicely crispy and we really enjoyed the gomasio.
One member of our party also ordered a hot buttered rum. They noted the whipped cream was of low quality and it had a strangely floral taste. It still does have a nice spice-y taste and is a...
Read moreIf I was just basing my review off of my first experience in March 2022, I would easily give this restaurant 5 stars. My partner and I came here for brunch, and the food and service were absolutely exceptional. We had an incredible experience, and we told a number of our friends in Minneapolis about the restaurant. When we left, we couldn’t wait to return for dinner, and we perused the dinner menu on our way back to Minneapolis.
We drove up to Duluth from Minneapolis this weekend to celebrate our anniversary, and At Sarah’s Table was at the top of our list to visit. We wanted to have our anniversary dinner here on Saturday evening (tonight), so we made sure to call at 2:30 on Friday to make a reservation for 7 pm. The person on the phone confirmed that we were at set for 7 pm on Saturday evening.
We arrived at 6:45 on Saturday, and when we approached the host, we were informed that our reservation wasn’t on the list and that we could wait 45-50 minutes for a table. We gave our name and promptly left and headed to a local co-op for a dinner of pizza and berry pie. We were really disappointed by this experience, but we won’t let it sour our anniversary. I don’t know if we’ll be returning here again, even though the food is...
