El Indio — Restaurant in Duluth

I placed an order over the phone on Friday night (02/02/24) and was advised the order would be ready in about 15 min. I arrived 30min laterh to pick up food, there were two young ladies taking the orders. I asked if my order was ready and to my surprise they couldn’t find my order. I confirmed the phone number I called was theirs and then one of them recalled talking to me and taking my order but they couldn’t find it and after about 5 min they were still looking for my order I just told them to place the order again and I would wait. At that point you would expect that they at least they apologize for the mistake but they totally ignored the situation and just placed a the order and ask me to wait. I just wanted to get the food and go so I sat there and waited. There were at least 5 orders taken from people that came after me and they all left with their food while I was still waiting. Aftet waiting for another 25 min, I went to the counter and asked them to cancel my order because it was taking way too long, I had my wife and kids waiting on the car for me on an order that by that time I had placed an hour ago. Then she said, seems like it’s now ready. I told them they should have at least apologized and ackowledged the fact that I had to wait 1 hour for their order but they showed no empathy at all and just said I’m sorry after I said it. I rarely post reviews. But I felt compelled to post a review. A coworker had ordered food from this restaurant today and had it delivered to our place of employment. I myself and another co-worker noticed how delicious it smelled.

We asked her for the name of the restaurant which was listed on her receipt. In which I noticed that it was located enroute to my house.

So I decided to stop by and order takeout. I ordered the "Birria Quesa Tacos" with Consume (Seasoned Beef Broth", a "Asada Mulita" including a "Pollo Taco".

I was truly impressed by how well and perfectly seasoned everything was. Everything that I ordered was absolutely delicious and the "Birria Quesa Tacos" was so so good, flavoral and very filling and the best that I ever had. The Consume (Seasoned Beef Broth) that is served with it was also the best that I ever had.

I initially thought that Beto's Tacos had the best "Quesa Birria" and "Consume" Including the "Pollo Taco". But these guys have the best. Every item that I had today had plenty of meat. I will definitely be eating here more often. Especially now that it's only 5 minutes away...

I went into this place a week and a half ago. I approach the counter and ordered my food. They called my number, I went up to get my food. As I sat down notice the waitress Selina gave me my food with a plastic fork. After eating my food for awhile I had notice she gave a Mexican couple silverware. I approach the counter and ask Selina why did she give me a plastic fork? She was stunned that I caught on so she told me she didn't know. I ask her was it because I was black. She looked at me with a blank look and smiled. This woman is racist and need not to be behind the counter. To the owners of this establisment it is awful that you have someone behind your counter that representing your business like this.
