Mazaj Atlanta – Mediterranean Excellence in Atlanta Atlanta might have its fair share of noteworthy dining establishments, but when it comes to Mediterranean cuisine, Mazaj Atlanta stands out as a culinary crown jewel — the kind of restaurant that makes you want to linger, savor, and return again and again. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with an atmosphere that balances elegance with warmth. The interior is beautifully curated: soft lighting, contemporary Middle Eastern accents, and music that whispers tradition, setting the stage for the feast to come. The Food Mazaj’s menu is a masterclass in Mediterranean flavors — vibrant, fresh, and deeply satisfying. Their mezze platter is an essential start: velvety hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, crisp falafel, and perfectly seasoned dolmas, each bite bursting with authenticity. The pita, served warm, is airy yet chewy, perfect for scooping up every last drop. The lamb chops are nothing short of perfection — tender, juicy, marinated in a blend of herbs that evokes the sun-soaked coasts of Lebanon. The shawarma here is a revelation: thinly sliced, well-seasoned meat with just the right balance of spice and richness, accompanied by fluffy rice and vibrant pickled vegetables that cut through the richness beautifully. Seafood lovers will be delighted by the grilled salmon — flaky, fragrant, and kissed with olive oil, lemon, and delicate Mediterranean herbs. Service & Experience Mazaj excels not just in cooking, but in hospitality. The staff is attentive yet unobtrusive, genuinely passionate about the cuisine they’re serving. Every dish arrives at the table looking like a work of art, and the pacing between courses is spot-on, letting you savor without rush. Final Thoughts Mazaj Atlanta isn’t just another Mediterranean restaurant — it’s an experience. It’s the kind of place where flavors transport you, where each dish tells a story of tradition and craftsmanship, and where hospitality reminds you why dining out is a joy. For anyone in Atlanta searching for an unforgettable Mediterranean meal, Mazaj Atlanta is the gold standard.

I have seen that restaurant many times on my way but never got chance to try it. Today got time to try it with friends. We ordered Hummus and Flafel for appetizers. Hummus was honestly a disappointment. Flafel was on better side. Then we ordered mix grill, which i think costs 90 dollars or something. I didn’t liked most of the stuff in it. Beef kabob, lamb kabob and all the meat was really dry. Chicken boti was tender but flavorless so was grilled chicken. We ordered Orange juice which they said was freshly squeezed but doesn’t felt like it. The Lemon mint mojito was good. So overall that was one time experience for me and might not come again. Not because I didn’t like it but because I think there are better options available. I can’t comment for sheesha / hukka as I don’t smoke. Suggestion for owner: I think you need to ask your chef to make mest little tender. Also hummus don’t have mushed chickpeas. Suggestion for Customers: If you have not much idea about the Mediterranean food taste, you will like it. The place and seating itself is good. Flavor - No Star - 5 / 10 Authenticity of Flavor - No Star - 5 / 10 Cleanliness - Star - 8 / 10 Service - Star - 8 / 10 Value for Money - Star - 6 / 10 Above format would be best to justify my review so i will hopefully continue to keep this for all my next reviews.

I have missed feelings. The food:. The salad was a show stopper. Quite unique. The kabob platter was fantastic. Great delicious variety. A meat lovers heaven. The appetizers were ok. The samosa was just cheese. Not what I expected but the dolmeh was good. I did not like the atmosphere. Huge TVS, very unartistic and warehouse looking. Just dark and black. The staff was very nice and they were trying hard but they didn’t catch you too often. They were certainly shorthanded. The food took forever to come. Even the drinks. Be ware that the restaurant does not serve any alcohol. So it’s geared toward a special group who prefer halal meat. I enjoyed the food but I will not go back.

I highly suspect they bot reviews, with multiple reviews posting the same picture which is highly suspect. Had the buffet that totaled $44.34. I wasted every single dollar. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Buffet had decent food but when all the food was gone they didn't refill any of the good food. Calling it a buffet is false advertising.

I supposed they didn't understand what a buffet was. For example, one of the delicious items was this fried fish but when it was gone it never came back.

They even went as far as to have employees moderate certain portion sizes for some items such as the beef kabab rice dish, limited the about of beef you could get.

Did I mention that it never got refilled either? This meant I paid for a full course meal and ended up eating basically 1-2 plates of anything good.

The service was terrible as well. Plates and the juice ran out multiple times and took forever to refill. Additionally the waiters never did anything besides taking plates always rarely.

All of this and they charged a non-negotiable service fee of $6+

I would give 0 stars for service if I could because it literally did not exist. If they let me do it myself I would of.

Everything this place did felt like it was trying to minimize the food I ate and put as many roadblocks as possible all while charging the most that I have ever seen...
