Open all days!
Location: located in the French corridor area with a nearby children's preschool, photo studio, lash studio, Japanese restaurant, etc -- plenty of parking (and with shade under the trees).
AMBIANCE: plenty of indoor seating with limited outdoor seating. Good natural lighting and variety of seating from individual to group to study. During the soft opening, The music was VERY LOUD and even louder in the bathroom to the point that some of the fixtures were shaking. (It was hard to do phone calls). When the owner came to ask how everything was, I casually mentioned to him and he said that they were testing out the speakers. He worked on accommodating. When I returned for grand opening, the music was much better! I can tell they worked on making the best volume for customers.
FOOD:. Variety of Korean/European pastries ranging from classic egg tarts and milk bread (which they cannot cut since it is too soft) to pistachio unique pastries to cakes. The prices range from $3-8 for the pastries and $30+ for the cakes. There are also brunch related items. The price is a little bit $$ compared to other bakeries but the service, ambiance, location is also responsible for the price which is well justified.
DRINKS: variety - I for the iced peach tea and it was VERY sweet. The caramel macchiato was also very sweet so I waited for the ice to melt- I was later told that they use 3 pumps of syrup. Recommend asking for 1-2!
I came around 8:30am and It started getting very packed at the time I left around 10:00.
TIP: they have some 50% breads if the bread is a day old which tastes great/can toast for freshness.
The employees/owner is always very involved— he walks around asking for suggestions/input/making sure everything is top notch. Highly recommend! This is our weekly go to spot as...

Read moreI saw this place on a lot of foodie instagrams so I wanted to try it. I saw there was a soft opening deal so I went. The store had signs that it was a soft opening, but I realized my bread and drink was not discounted. I asked about it to the worker and maybe she didn't understand me well, but she said it was only last week. It was odd to me because they were still in their soft opening phase. Also, I asked for recommendations and she couldn't give a lot of recommendations like she didn't know the menu. I asked if they had any special drinks that were a specialty that only they made (thinking about the posters they had up advertising their drinks), but she said they didn't have anything like that. So I asked about the persimmon drink and she said that's seasonal and they didn't have that... so why have that poster up right by the door so it's the first thing you see when you come through the door? I didn't get a welcoming vibe at all. Also, it seemed like the bread prices were similar to other bread and croissant stores, but the bread was about 30% smaller than other stores, so I don't think the price is comparable to the competition based on the size. Also the drink - caramel macchiato was SO SWEET. I asked for a recommendation for a sweet drink, but man, that was TOO sweet. I had to wait for all the ice to melt and I even tried to put in my own milk at home and it made it taste really bad. I was disappointed in the service, food, drink, and the prices. I was thinking of maybe trying the brunch next time, but not sure if it will be worth a...
