Giving as Spiritual Warfare You may wonder what giving has to do with spiritual warfare. The Bible says in Malachi 3:10-11: “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out for you a blessing until there is no more need. Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it may not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the Lord of hosts. The devil is involved in the economy, right now. And this will increase. In the book of Revelation, we learn that when the incarnate devil comes the Antichrist, he will be in absolute control of the economy. He will direct financial powers throughout the earth. The “mark of the beast” (Revelation 13:17) will be connected with buying and selling. Satan is interested in finances. He knows the selfishness of man is inflamed by money. According to the Bible, the love of money is the root of all sorts of evil (1Timothy 6:10). This love of money affects every area of human existence. Greed is the very foundation of Satan’s economic schemes. Therefore, the greatest weapon against this foundation is a giving heart. When people give, it totally frustrates Satan’s attempts to influence people toward selfishness. Giving is contagious, undoing the work of the devil far beyond the act of a single giver. It ripples outward: With every gift comes a grateful heart, and with a more grateful heart comes a greater willingness to give. Giving initiates a cycle which can influence many. God is not concerned about how much you have, but He is concerned about whether or not it grips your heart. He doesn’t care how much you collect, but He does care how much you give. The issue for God is not wealth. The issue is your heart. You can be a billionaire and God will not be displeased. God doesn’t want His people to be poor. He wants them to hold what they have in open palms, more willing to give than to receive. Every week there are missionaries who have to leave the mission field because of lack of finances, while some churches and ministries spend millions irresponsibly. But we should never use their responsibilities of some Christian workers as an excuse not to give to others. Giving in obedience to God is biblical, spiritual warfare that defeats the powers...
Read moreok so i recieved a proof of loss of income from viridian were they terminated me when i didnt come into work because i was sick with fever..i spoke with both a team lead and the team chat and told them i had fever and was to sick to come in and didnt want to contaminate food and drinks. and because i refused to come in even though no one wanted to cover my shift they still terminated me and stated i didnt communicate to them and no showed 2 days in a row..so first of all i started calling and looking for coverage the morning i went to the dr sick af and i was un able to find someone to cover my close and i talked to hannah that evening and told her i was to sick to come in and she stated i still had to come in if no one was able to cover me..i didnt wanna serve people food that would get them sick like that. i was running fever and having covid like symptoms. i even went to the dr the firat day i missed and was swabbed for covid. we were always told to serve people great coffee. How can i serve people sick coffee and food if its contaminated and i cant think nor function properly because im running fevers and im dizzy? i wasnt to upset about being let go until i read that paper they sent me making me out to sound like someone who no call no showed. i made sure everyone knew i was sick and i went to the dr. i kept everyone as informed as i knew how. i loved my time at viridian..i love the coffee but i do not love how they made me out to be a bad person by stating i didnt communicate to them and i didnt show up. i kept them informed via the slack app for work and i kept trying to find coverage but no one could help out. i spoke to hannah and they knew i was sick with God only knows what and had fever to the point i was to dizzy to walk much less drive yet i was still expected to handle food? its unfair and so wrong. i felt so bad i was to sick to work my shifts and i tried to get out of bed when no one was able to cover me..i...
Read moreI have been going to Viridian since about when they opened here in town -- it used to be the only place to go for what I call a nice little "froufrou" coffee or tea. Their warm chai tea lattes are my absolute fave. But I can't justify the price anymore. $12 for two smalls... There are so many more options available in Duncan now with just as many great drinks for a far more affordable price. I like to get a tea regularly as I consider them my "comfort" item, so I can't be spending $6 for a small every day when I can get a large for less at a different place...
This is also HIGHLY subjective and for most people a non-issue, but the overly friendly banter the staff tries to serve you causes me so much unnecessary anxiety, lol. I want to just get my tea through the drive-thru and go, not talk about how things at work are going. You can be kind and courteous without being invasive! AGAIN, this is really not that big of an issue, it's just something I don't like personally! HOWEVER; in more than one instance they've gotten really silly over the intercom and messed up my order. It's kind of frustrating. I had a young man give me options for something they don't do and the person at the window seemed so confused on what I ordered. Like, your guy told me I could /do/ that. They were acting really silly over the intercom when this happened. I just want my drink, man, not some impromptu schtick.
Overall, I might come back every once and a while, but I have been more than disappointed with...
