Ok, the best thing about this place is that the food tastes good, there is a decent selection and the service is what it should be at a buffet. Comparing to King Buffet in Dallas, the food selection when I went on a weekend is about 80-85% of what they have and the quality is a level lower for more special items.
My biggest criticism is just that the atmosphere is very dead inside and the look of the place is old. Also smaller than King Buffet. Less lively. They need to pump some popular music through the speakers, not low volume Chinese music. They need several tv screens mounted to the walls playing sports and music videos or something. Something that grabs the attention of patrons. Art work or more decorations on the walls would help with adding color.
Also, I kept hearing yelling like I was in a senior citizen Bingo night. I think it was the Mongolian BBQ stir fry guy yelling out when orders were ready. It was annoying and off putting and sounded like someone was yelling from behind the walls. King Buffet uses those remote alarms that sound when your dish is ready for a pickup. That guy yelling really dampened any mood and made it weird.
So basically the food is solid (I wish they offered flan though) but the atmosphere could be so many levels better. They can't do anything about their location and neighbors in that strip mall but the vibe inside can be...
Read moreGood Asian buffet within 40 mins drive from east of Dallas. The service was friendly and the waitress was nice to us. She cleared the table when needed and asked if we wanted refills. Did not need to wave her down for anything. Tips were included in the final total. The food was good. It includes raw oysters, clams, fried crabs, and crawfish mixed for seafood. No boiled crab legs though. They also have a Mongolian grill type where you pick what you want and they make it for you. We went on a Saturday and it's an all day dinner. About 16.49/pp plus drink is about $3. So $20/pp for ayce is pretty decent in this economy. We went before the rush hours so I don't know how crowded it might get but we didn't have to wait. The plaza was not crowded at all so...
Read moreI went on a Friday for Crab leg night. It was about 5:30pm. Not to many ppl here, esp. for a friday. Everything on the buffet was very old. Fried shrimp was hard as a brick. The sushi was nothing but California rolls with different sauces. They only brought out a few crab legs and had sat in water for so long that they lost their flavor. Crab Rangoon had funky taste. Really the only thing I somewhat enjoys was the stale captain crunch crispy treats and the ice cream.
The service was okay, it’s just buffet so if they clear a couple plates that’s pretty good.
The restaurant it self looks nice.
Will never go back. Very glad I didn’t get sick
Also I’m pretty sure that they have someone making fake account to do fake reviews to keep their...
