I have stayed at other hotels, but this hotel wasn't impressive at all. The front desk agent who checked me in was ok. I watched white guest come in and each one was greeted in a friendly manner even upon returning. Later that day when leaving the two front desk staff were engulfed in a personal conversation and completely ignored my wife and me choosing to turn their backs. When we returned the same treatment not so much as a hello. On the second day when getting breakfast we were only allowed a baby size egg and cheese burrito, small muffin and a small drink. When I asked for another one the attendant said we were only allowed one. But we can pay $4.00 for an upgraded breakfast. There was nothing there we could eat, but cereal because we don't eat pork. No hotel WE HAVE EVER stayed at was this cheap. NEVER experienced food rations even during COVID-19. After the behavior and the rations I decided to check out instead of extending our stay for 7 more days. While preparing for check out I receive a text telling me I could do a late check out for $15.00 this is a free service at hotels, within reason. If you stay beyond the FREE extension then you are charged for another day. Customer care should be of the utmost importance and when guest are nickle and dimed then given food to feed a small child it leaves a bad taste in a customers mouth. So, for what the manager referred to as COVID-19 service and prices is a complete lack of understanding and service for customers they should value. I went down the road to another hotel that provided a full hot breakfast, I could eat as much as I want, the cleanliness was above and beyond expectations, and the customer service was superior. All of this for the same price. I am very disappointed by the treatment and service received at Best Western. The manager in responding never addressed the issues of concern, but rather discussed the hotel. COVID-19 procedures that has nothing to do with food rations, mistreating black people and using price reductions for this. The real reason for the price reductions is service and amenities. There is no a-la-carte, per the managers response, it is rations, period. Please don't insult me again with your less than stellar service and response to my concerns. That in itself is disrespectful and unprofessional towards a Rewards member and...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel two weekends in a row for conferences. I booked the two queen beds and the following weekend the king-size bed. It's ample parking, but the spots near the front door go quickly. I walked in exactly at 3 p.m. to check in. I was greeted by the friendly receptionist. It smelled so good in the entryway, and as I looked around, I saw Easter decor, which was nice. It wasn't overally done. I was told that breakfast was served from 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. (I didn't go to breakfast due to wanting to get back on the road to Houston.) Check-in was swift, and getting to my room was quick because I was right by the elevator. I went to my conference and came back to the hotel a little after midnight. I had to use my hotel key to gain entrance to the front door of the hotel. I went to my room to go to sleep for the night. My neighbor was talking loudly and going in and out of his room about 3-4 times. The only way I know this is because the doors are heavy and slam shut automatically. Also, people waiting for the elevator or getting off were talking very loudly. I should have asked for a room NOT near the elevator. 2nd Weekend (king-size bed): May 2 - 4, 2025 I was attending a two day conference. My room was further down the hall away from the elevator, which was great, but throughout the night, children were running back and forth in the hallways. On the first day (friday around 5 p.m.), as I was leaving my room to go to the elevator to go to the conference, I saw a Hispanic looking guy in a plaid shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers with a FedEx envelope that was open walking up down the hallway. He stopped at a door and looked in my direction. He started to walk towards me, and he stopped at the door that was next to my hotel room door and turned the handle to see if it was open. Alarm bells immediately went off. The elevator doors opened, and we both walked on. I pressed one for the first floor. He got off first. He proceeded to casually walk towards the first floor hallway where some of the first floor hotel rooms were. I stopped at the front desk and watched him. I was waiting for a front desk person because it was no one at the desk at the moment. I waited less than 5 minutes but I had to go. I should have left a note. Overall, I liked the hotel and would book again. Hopefully, the guests won't be as...
Read moreVery Nice Place.. only problems I had was I made reservations for 2 rooms, and they lost 1 of the reservation’s so at the last minute I had to re reserve another room luckily they had 1 left!! Also checkout time is 11am so went and brought most of our stuff down... Upon going back up to our room housekeeping was already in there cleaning at 10:15 so we felt rushed.. we checked in at 8:30 pm was charged $160.00 for a room that has no reason to be that expensive and seeing how staff “lost 1 reservation we shouldn’t have to have paid 160.00 for a room that clearly states on the internet the rate is $85.00... probably won’t rent a room here ever again.. when your coming into town for a Dallas Cowboys game the last thing you need is problems!! Other than that this place is nice!! When I originally booked the Rooms a confirmation was sent telling me that 1 of the 2 rooms may not have been booked.. the email had the main number to hotel to Call... The Hotel Clerk told me over the phone that she seen where both rooms had in fact been reserved.. I even called later in the week to let them know I was needing a late check in because we wouldn’t be in town until late, and my guest for the other room would be on time!! There’s no need to email you the reservation because it states that 1 of the 2 rooms may have not been reserved.. but like I said I called to check and they assured me everything was OK!! There’s no reason that Room should have Costed me after tax $180.00!! That’s ridiculous especially when I reserved the rooms they was no where near that amount!! The place is nice but not $180.00 Nice!! After speaking with GM of this company come to find out the mistake was made with an online booking agency.. the GM reached out to me and resolved the whole issue and even refunded me the money of the...
