I really wish I could upload the picture of my problem and how they tried to repair it. First let me say, I'm been buying furniture from this store for over 20 years. I love the style of furniture they sale. But this last purchase has been purchase from HELL!!! The chaise to the set I bought was defected. I went to store to explain the problem. I was told someone would be at my home within two weeks. I have to admit, that someone came on 11/25. After receiving a call that the repairers was on the way, I sent my sister to my home to let them inside. they acknowledge the problem, and attempt to repair it in the most sloppy way possible. My sister complained about how unprofessional the repairs was being done on a brand new chaise, that no one had even sit on yet. This chaise cost $599.00, they refuse to fix the chaise the right way. They became upset with my sister, because of her complaining. They left the chaise in the middle of the floor turned upside down. When I came home, I called the store, talked to a gentlemen about the problem. His words to me was he had heard the store from the repairer, he was not concerned about how the repairers left the item nor was he concerned about the issue. I asked to speak to someone that could help me, that I was receiving guest in my home for Thanksgivings. I was told the whole family of owners was off today, and that the manager was at a funeral. He had no sympathy for my situation. I am handicap and does not have the energy to turn the chaise over and place it where it was before the repairer came. I had to get my neighbor to put the legs back on chaise and get it out of the middle of the floor. This is unacceptable behavior. With the chair being less than 2 weeks old, a new chaise should have been offered. I have no problem with them repairing the chaise, but my God repair it the right way. Read moreMy faith has been restored in good business and customer service. Mr. Kyle Currens allowed me to exchange the horrible hard mattress for a softer mattress. He actually took the time to show me several options that would be better and allowed me the time to try out the mattresses and make a decision without rushing me. Last night I slept so much better. I did not wake up with back pain for the first time in weeks. Thank you so much for good customer service and providing a solution to my problem. I will go back and do business with the furnitue shop. The personal touch and willingness to resolve my issue made all the difference. I will never shop at The Furniture Shop again. I brought a Sierra Sleep mattress that was labeled plush and felt plush in the store. When the mattress was delivered to me it felt like I was sleeping on a wood plank. I called the store and went back to the store 3 days later. Turns out the side that was open to the public and not pushed against another bed was softer than the side that couldn't be accessed. The owner basically told me there was nothing they could do. I just had to wait for the bed to break down or buy a mattress topper. I paid good money for this mattress if I wanted to spend additional money for a mattress topper I would have spent additional $ for a more expensive mattress. It's weeks later and my back and neck hurts every day. I can't sleep which is why I'm up at 4 am writing this review. This is definitely a lesson learned. Read moreOn Saturday my wife and I were just riding around and ended up in Duncanville at The Furniture Shop. My wife had been shopping there for more than 30 years. She knew the founders and their sons and said they were like family to her. We saw a beautiful massage chair and immediately loved it and of course the sales price. While just looking around we chatted with the sons who were very kind and courteous. We then talked to our salesperson, Fidel, who was also courteous. The price of the chair was unbelievable and they still knocked off $100 with 12 months no interest. Of course, we purchased the amazing chair and already loving it and getting better sleep.
