I was welcomed to the hotel by the lovey lady at the front desk and everything was great until my second day… I ordered some food from Uber eats and my food wasn’t delivered to me, I got in touch with Uber who refused to refund my money and the reason for it was that my food was “ delivered ” even though I never got it.. the food wasn’t cheap but more than that I was very upset that I had to pay for something that wasn’t delivered to me and not really about the amount I paid and in order to get my money back I had to get my bank to dispute it, I realised it was a camara right outside my door so I talked to the lady at the front desk and asked for a video recording to be send to my me just to proof that in fact the food wasn’t delivered, she in a very lovey way explained to me that they weren’t going to give me a recording ( I guessed to protect the privacy of other guests going in and out ) which is understandable but she said that the hotel manager can review the camara and send me a letter explaining that the delivery person never showed up so I thought it was a great idea and the very next day I had a talk to the manager, but for my surprise he was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional telling me he had other things to do and he wasn’t gonna waste his time looking at the recording even though I gave him the exact time that the food was “delivered “ so now I wonder wether my food wasn’t delivered or perhaps another guest or staff took it and he doesn’t want to expose that? I’m very concern about the safety inside this hotel and the way the hotel manager deal with problems that are happening with his guests inside the hotel… at the end of our conversation he finally said to me he was going to help me and asked for my email but I knew he wasn’t going to do anything and in fact he never got back to me. Being diamond members, our family has spent time in hundreds of wyndham hotels... but never in that time has a front desk lady left her post to question me in the breakfast area about what room I'm in while I'm trying to get my morning coffee. Loudly.
This lady had convinced herself that i didn't belong there based on whatever opinion she made of me walking through entrance doors coming from my car. What was she going to do? Publicly kick me out as a breakfast sideshow? It was tacky. Really tacky and too much aggression for 6am. I would hope that even if someone wasn't staying here and they needed a drink, the employees wouldn't make a big deal of that. Having worked front desk in the past, you should be treating everyone who walks in the building as a guest or potential guest.
Especially, when trying to charge $420 a night for a very standard hotel for 2024.
The construction makes this location less than ideal. Hopefully, when it's finished, that won't be the case because it's located in a very central area to the highways, but set back just enough that you don't get interstate noise.
The toilet in the room smells like it's leaking sewer gas. It's not bad until you're in the bathroom next to the toilet, but getting ready stunk. Literally.
Bottom line, there are better options with more professional staff that won't make you uncomfortable first thing in the morning.... just because you didn't look right to...
