The food was amazing (what I've come to expect from Pappadeaux), but the experience was the worst that I have ever had. I was in Dallas recently for work, and a friend of mine who lives in the Mansfield area was available to meet for dinner. We chose this location, and we met here a little before 6p. We walked into the restaurant to put our name on the list (there were a few people standing outside indicating a short wait), and we were told that "the girl outside" needed to take our name. We walked back out to meet a young woman who was leaning against the wall near the front door playing on her phone. She sighed heavily and was ready to put our name into an iPad. After giving our information, she sighed again, grumbled, and told us that her iPad was dead and wouldn't turn on. She went back inside and stopped to talk with several people along the way in, and she stopped to take what appeared to be names from 2 other parties on the way back to us. We got our name on the list and would have a 30-40 minute wait. The kicker in all of this was that she never made eye contact with anyone in our group! Okay, 30-40 minutes to wait for the food from Pappadeaux - definitely worth that wait. After seeing other groups get seated that had arrived after us, I went up to check on our place on the list. "The girl outside" wouldn't give me an update, and told me only that we would be called when it was our turn. After seeing 3 more parties get called in, I asked again. I think that I annoyed her, but she did tell me that our table had been ready, and that it had been ready for a while. I told her that my phone never went off, and she asked if I was sure that the number given was for my phone. Anyway, we followed her in and we led to the hostess podium. The hostess had us wait another 10-15 minutes while they cleaned a table. We were finally seated. The waiter came by to take drink orders and leave us with menus. We had been talking outside about what we wanted, so I felt very comfortable that a quick glance at the menu was all I needed. Most of my menu was missing (see photo). I pointed this out to the waiter who told me that it wasn't his problem, and I just needed to order. A little taken back, I ordered a salad - my options were either salad or dessert. The restaurant was fairly busy, but this was unacceptable. After dinner (others in our group got fried chicken - amazingly good, stuffed salmon, and dirty rice with gumbo), I went to talk to the manager. He seemed to know what my complaints were before I even started, and he admitted that he gets multiple complaints about 'the girl outside" every day. He didn't call her that, but I don't know how else to title her at this point. He apologized sincerely and even gave me a gift card to welcome me back. The card is good at any Pappadeaux, but he hopes that I will give this location another try. I will be travelling to Dallas a lot this year, and I hope to give a 5 star review next time. Again, the food was amazing, but the service was unacceptable.

I went for a birthday dinner with friends and family. I have ordered the Cajun Chicken Tenders many times and they have never been so spicy. My mouth was on fire. My Brocollini was spicy too. The server had the tenders made again which took forever and they were packed up—so I didn’t get to taste them. I tasted them at home and they were still too spicy. The dirty rice has been spicy in the past as well. I went to Pappadeaux’s for Cajun cooking, but it tasted like I was at a Tex-Mex restaurant. My sister got the tagliatelle pasta with shrimp and crab. She said that the shrimp was very spicy and that there were pieces of crab shell in the pasta. We both had redness in our faces the next day. My Mother ordered the fried catfish and baked potato. She said that they were both undercooked. I was really disappointed. Pappadeaux’s food has always been good. This is why I chose it for my birthday. My friend ordered a salad and asked that it be put in a to-go container instead of on a plate. We all received our dishes, but she sat through half of the dinner before we could get the server to bring her salad to the table. The Strawberry Mangeaux Tango cocktail was ok. The frozen margarita tasted processed like a package mix. The fried alligator and mozzarella bites appetizers were very good. The fresh baked bread was very good. The Key Lime Pie was delicious as always. The server was ok. She could have been more attentive. Previous servers have been better. The Duncanville location was really busy for a Wednesday night with lots of kids. It was very noisy and everyone at my table had to talk loud to hear each other. I may try another location to dine at which I don’t want to do. I also may just call it quits with Pappadeaux’s and take my business elsewhere.

Was seated after a brief wait at 4 pm on a weekday. It was already very crowded inside. Went for a family member's birthday. I had the fillet mignon although I was upset they refused to cook it less than medium well, almost fully well done (the menu and waiter said medium but I've been a waitress for 6 years at a steak house between highschool and college so I know it wasn't medium at all - zero pink). A filet at a steak house will make a chef angry if you want it more than medium rare. Usually places will still cook it but there's a warning on the menu that it's up to your health to do it that way. This pretty much ruined a $50 meal for me but I didn't want to send it back because I figured the chef would do it to the same almost charcoal finish and I can't eat seafood so my options were limited (plus I was starting to be sleepy from preventative Benadryl in case of cross contamination, which did end up happening). Family all had the shrimp and grits, which included 6 massive shrimp (prawns maybe, they were so big). They were very happy with their selections. We all had salads and key lime pies for desserts. Portions are very large but I'd expect that for the price. The wait staff was on point - they were there before you even realized you needed them. I wish I had better name retention so I could call them out by name but sadly I've forgotten. Overall a very nice meal. A bit overpriced but if you use Costco gift cards you save about 20%. If you're allergic to seafood I'd suggest just skipping this place because it seems like cross contamination is inevitable, which is fully understandable for a seafood restaurant - I only went because that's where the birthday person wanted to go.

🙋🏽‍♀️BLESSIN AFTERNOON. FIRST OFF, I'M FROM OUT-OF-TOWN. MY BLESSIN HAD TO WORK ON BLESSIN MOTHER'S DAY, BUT WAS ABLE TO GO TO BLESSIN CHURCH WITH US. ( HIS BLESSIN WIFE & BLESSIN 1 YEAR OLD TODDLER SON. ) BUT ANYWAY HIS BLESSIN WIFE SUGGESTED THAT WE GO OUT TO EAT AT BLESSIN PAPPADEAUX SEAFOOD KITCHEN AFTER SHE GET OFF WORK AROUND 5:30 PM & SINCE HE WAS OFF MONDAY. WHEN WE GOT THERE, THE BLESSIN WAITRESS WAS VERY NICE, UNTIL SHE CAME BACK WITH BRINGING US A BIG GLASS OF ICE WATER WITH A LOTTA ICE. ANYWAY WHEN SHE WALKED AROUND MY BLESSIN GRANSON, NOW MIND YOU HE'S ONLY 1 YEARS OLD & HIS WAS SITTING IN THEIR HIGHCHAIR, THAT WHEN SHE GOT READY TO GRAB THAT BIG GLASS OF ICE WATER & INSIDE OF THE PLACE WAS SO COLD THAT SHE KNOCKED OVER THAT WHOLE OF ICE WATER ONTO THE BACK OF MY BLESSIN GRANSON, NOW MIND YOU HE'S ONLY 1 YEARS OLD THAT THE COLD WATER ALONG WITH THE ICE WETTED HIS BOTTOM & ALL THAT & ICE WAS IN THE HIGHCHAIR. HE WAS CRYING SO & MY BLESSIN DAUGHTER-N-LAW GRABBED HIM UP OUT THAT CHAIR SO FAST THAT HIS WHOLE BOTTOM WAS DO WET. NOW MIND YOU THAT IT WAS SO COLD IN THAT. BUT ANYWAY THE WAITRESS APOLOGIZED & WENT TO LET THE MANAGER KNOW WHAT HAD HAPPENED. MY BLESSIN DAUGHTER-N-LAW TOOK THE BABY INTO THE RESTROOM TO CLEAN HIM UP, BUT THERE WASN'T ANY BLOWER INSIDE THE RESTROOM TO GET HIM WARM & DRY HIS PANTS. WHILE ME & MY BLESSIN SON WAS SITTING THERE THAT MANAGER NEVER CAME OUT & THE WAITRESS CAME TO TELL US THAT THE MANAGER APOLOGIES & COULD ONLY GIVE US AN ENTREE. ABOUT 20 MINUTES WE HAD KEPT SEEING THS GUT GOING AROUND TO DIFFERENT TABLES TALKING, HE KEPT PASSING OUR TABLE. THEN HE GOT READY TO PASS OUR TABLE AGAIN, MY BLESSIN SON HAPPEN TO STOP HIM & ASK WAS HE THE MANGER & SO HAPPEN HE ANSWERED YES. SO MY SON WAS LETTING HIM KNOW WHAT HAD HAPPENED & ASKED HIM WHAT WAS HE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT. THAT MANAGER TOLD US, THAT YES THE WAITRESS CAME & TOLD HIM WHAT HAPPENED & THAT HE APOLOGIZED & WAS GOING TO GIVE US AN ENTREE. SO WE SAID THAT IT WASN'T ENOUGH FOR THE BABY SUFFERING THE COLD ICE WATER ONTO HIS BACK & ALL YOU IS OFFERING AN ENTREE. SO MY SON SAID WELL CAN'T WE JUST PAY HALF OF THE BILL, YOU SEE THAT MY BLESSIN MOM IS HERE FROM OUT-OF-TOWN & WE SUGGESTED THAT WE BRING HER HERE CAUZE THE FOOD IS GOOD & WE LIKE IT HERE. AND PLUS MY MOM DOESN'T EAT EVERYWHERE. THAT MANAGER KEPT SAYING THAT HE COULDN'T. SO I TOLD MY BLESSIN SON THAT I GOT THS. SO I ASK THAT MANAGER IF WE CAN HAVE THAT ENTREE ALONG WITH YOU PAYING MY BLESSIN GRANSON'S FOOD BILL. LIKE HE WAS IN A HURRY TO GET AWAY FROM US, THAT HE AGREEED & HURRY UP & LEFT. THAT DAMM ENTREE ( EXCUSE THE EXPRESSION )WAS 3 DIFFERENT TYPES OF SHORTCAKES THAT WE HAD TO CHOOSE FROM. NEVER AGAIN!! ( I CAN SAY ONE THING, THE FOOD WAS GOOD & MY BLESSIN SON GOT THE ALLIGATOR & SALAD, I TRIED THE ALLIGATOR FOR THE FIRST, IT WAS GOOD, BUT I WOULDN'T EAT IT LIKE THAT. ) SO HAVE A BLESS, WONDERFUL & SAFE WEEK. I WILL, BUT NOT THERE AGAIN & I WILL LET MY BLESSIN LOV ONES, FAMILIES & FRIENDS KNOW ABOUT THS...

We went to this location for dinner yesterday at about 4:15 PM. We walked in gave our party count of three. Was immediately told that it would be 15 mins because they had to clean some tables off. 15 minutes later we were seated at a table that was already cleaned when we arrived. No one had to clean it. As there were multiple tables like that but we still had to wait. I inquired about it s we were being seated and was told oh, its because we are in the middle of changing shifts. Our night staff is coming on now. A waiter came over and said he could take our drink orders but it would be about 15 minutes before we could turn our order in. What? I explained we had been waiting and asked why do we have to wait an additional 15 mins before we can place our order? He too, gave the same story line of "oh, because we're in the middle of changing shifts and how he was getting ready to leave. But he could take our drink order. We told him we were ready to order because we had been waiting. He left to get the drinks but before getting the drinks he threw our coasters on the table as if we were beneath him or something. Then we attempted to give him our orders. I told him what I wanted and he proceeded to tell me "oh, that's on our lunch menu" okay, I still know what I wanted to eat. I didn't care that it was on the stupid lunch menu. When I looked at the menu again it was on the dinner menu but it came with oysters and something else that I dont eat. He walked off and just stood up talking to another waiter as I was searching the menu. He returned eventually and I told him that I still wanted blackened catfish and dirty rice minus the other that I'm accustomed to eating with it. It made me feel like they are now dictating what you can order and pay for out of your own pocket, but what Pappadeaux says you can order ONLY. If I had time to go somewhere else yesterday, I would have plus it started storming really bad while there. CORPORATE please do something about this absolute MESS at your Duncanville location. And the employees really didn't care it too showed. They were NOT super busy either. Horrible services given yesterday and they treated it as a JOKE in my opinion. They were just saying anything!!!!! The server/waiter made us acquainted with another young lady that would be taking over our table. He never left the floor. He...
