Had a great meal, our server Lexi was amazing.

However, I brought a large party in, as my family lives here and I live over 1400 miles away. I have known Lexi for a long time and DID NOT inform her we were coming in, as a surprise. The owners teenage daughters, who have attitudes larger than their young minor ages, not only made ot PBVIOUS they were annoyed we came in and asked for a spot in her section, but further made it obvious they were bothered by us being there by glaring at us and rolling their eyes the ENTIRE time.

The fact that we came in, made the resturant a substantial tab and the entire family worked in food services at some point I know the place made it's money. The way our server was treated simply because she's my friend was not only unprofessional, but it's just wrong. One family members food was purposely not made, no runners would help her despite her having more than 2 trays to come out with our party (but I watched another server just hand her something while she was refilling our drinks and just expected her to follow him to run HIS food) overall they treated her and our entire party like trash just because I knew her personally and they were under the impression the stop was spear headed by her.

Overall, I don't think I'll be eating here again because the hosts, the two little girls who rum the front of house are just unprofessional and treat their staff like trash. I could have gotten a meal just as good, and without the staff hostility at Alexander's or Baker Hill Pankcake House. For our first official resturant visit back in the Elgin/Dundee area, I'm so sadly...

We were seated and the waitress came by after a few minutes to take our order. We asked for waters for the table. It took a while for our food to come out, but since we were catching up with friends at another table, we didn’t mind the wait.

The first issue was that our food didn’t come out at the same time—my husband’s plate arrived about 10 minutes after mine. We didn’t complain since it was the end of the brunch rush and we understand things can get hectic. But halfway through eating, I realized we still hadn’t received our waters. The waitress never came back to check on us after dropping off the food, so I went to the front and asked about it. The hostess said she would let the waitress and manager know. About five minutes later, we finally got our drinks.

The waitress did apologize, but it felt forced—she seemed irritated more than anything. Shortly after, she brought us the check and some to-go boxes. When I went to leave feedback on the screen and skip the tip (because the service was disappointing), she actually tried to reach over and skip the screen herself. I told her I wasn’t done and left honest feedback while she stood there with a rude, unprofessional attitude.

Overall, the food was just okay—not worth the poor service. I definitely won’t be returning to this location. The Elgin one has much better service and...

First time I went was delicious. Soup was good and steaming hot 👌🏼 we got warmed up croissants when the soup was served too. Skillets were very good and hot hot! Everything was good. We said it was definitely a come back to place. We went again two weekends ago and the soup was served warm/room temp 🤢 Bread was room temp which was whatever I guess ... but the soup! No, we were like okay maybe it's just cuz of how busy they are they left it out too long before they brought it to us, but then the food come and as well was served warm and the server wasn't so great already. She barely attended us or refilled our coffees. Super busy Sunday I guess we said right... So fast forward to now this last time we go it's a week day. Flow was good not so busy and we thought okay maybe they can redeem themselves... and nope lol soup was warm/room temp 🤦🏻‍♀️ bread was okay. And the food was served warm.
