Panera Bread — Restaurant in Dundee Township

Panera is always a great visit. The staff is always nice but me and my boyfriend usually have a girl named Bryn, I think, who is so sweet and great to talk to. She remembers us when we come in, mainly him, and it makes the experience better. Pricing here is great. I feel like its extremely fair for how much and how good the food is. This visit I tried the grilles mac and cheese sandwhich with broccoli cheddar soup (a classic) and bread. It was absolutely delicious. Never had an issue with inside not being clean. It always looks nice and its a super cozy place to eat. Could stay here for hours infront of the fireplace with some hot soup and a book. Wait times arent long. Its pretty quick for how much food we usually get, and everything is fresh and hot when we receive it. Two days in a row I have used the app to place a rapid pickup. Yesterday, when I arrived to pick up my order, not only was the staff EXTREMELY slow for such a busy time and lo,g line but my order hadn't even been started. I specifically placed an order for a bagel pack an hour ahead of time due to a time crunch to get to a meeting. Very frustrating. Today, I again placed another order for a bagel pack on rapid pickup and when I went to pick up I could see my competed order behind the counter. Again, the staff was extremely slow and had no concern for the growing line. After several minutes in line, I finally had to grab someone to tell them "hey I just need my order!"

What is the point of "rapid pickup" if I can't even order an hour ahead of time and it's still late! I will not be using this...

We’ve visited this Panera twice. The first experience was iffy. Trying to make polite conversation, we asked the employee what she liked best, and she replied“Going home” without joking. We asked her what dessert she liked best and she said “Nothing. I don’t eat here. Too many calories.” She made a few more comments about calories a few more times. I get it, but it’s incredibly dangerous and unprofessional to make comments so nonchalantly about calories when you work at a restaurant. She lightened up as we continued talking to her. I know and understand having a hard day. Maybe this was her day.

Our second visit was a complete 180. Bryn L helped us and she was amazing! So friendly and bubbly. We left feeling happy and impressed. A stark contrast from our first visit....
