While returning home from our road trip it was time to grab something to eat along the way. I recalled this place from a while back as I passed by it on my way to the shopping area that is in the vicinity. I dropped my traveling party off at the door and went off to park the car. When I walk in I saw they had already been seated. As it was between lunch and dinner the place was not all that crowded and yet there was a fair amount of customers. The menu that was left on the table for us to read had small print and the ink colors were offset so I felt like I already had a few too many just looking at it. Luckily one of the three of us had one that had good print on it. I opted to scan the code on the table to read the on-line version. There was a separate beer menu that has many choices, too many to try them all that day. I guess I'll have to come back. They do have an outside patio for when the weather is nice. Our server Zach came by to greet us and help explain some of the menu items we had questions about. He also took the time to educate us on the micro brewery behind the Tap House. The beer I chose was one of their own. I like to support the local brewery's while traveling. The ladies at the table had the salmon salad which looked amazing, and I was told it was delicious. I went for the Mac&Cheese. I wanted to try it straight up to get the taste of the base before loading it up with add in proteins. Unfortunately there was an error made along the way and chicken was added. I did try a piece of the chicken and found it was dry and overcooked. Note to self.....No chicken. At the end of the meal Zach spent time with us to chat and explained that the place had been open for just a little over 3 months. I would encourage you to go support this facility as I will be...
Read moreWe have always enjoyed the restaurant, so this review is strictly for the Easter Brunch. I wanted to try something different and saw on FB they were offering Easter Brunch so I took a shot and made a reservation. I had tempered expectations going in, but the brunch buffet was worse than I anticipated. The food was very basic and not very good. It did not reflect the typical quality I’ve had here. The buffet consisted of scrambled eggs that had plastic wrap over the containers. When the man took it off it did not smell great, I had some and they tasted like they had been sitting for a while. The waffles seemed like they were premade or had been frozen and then thawed, same with the pancakes. Sausage and bacon were decent. They had prime rib, but it was sitting in a warming tray. The man on the line carved a piece for me and it tasted decent but was very fatty. The ham did not look appetizing so I skipped that. There were very few options for the lunch portion of the brunch. I also never saw them switch out the food on the line. I have no idea how long it had been sitting up there, but everything tasted less than fresh and the syrup had food floating in it. The good brunch places switch out the food for fresh items regularly. This was not worth the money. We had pop and ice tea, I had a beer and the bill was well over $200. For that price I expect more. An actual carving station, maybe a waffle station, more options and fresh food. I was disappointed. I do have the say that the place did try. There was an Easter bunny wondering around dancing and my kids said he was the highlight. The service was also good. It just was less than I was expecting and I had low...
Read moreMy friends, boyfriend and I (group of 10 in total) tried going to have a bite to eat. Our friends got their first and asked for a larger table since we had a bigger party. There were multiple servers just sitting at the bar and the place was almost empty. When they asked for a larger table grace (our server) immediately said no and sat them down in a booth. Then the other half showed up and we all were sitting on top of eachother. She came back and says “wow you guys look smooshed”. A little later we asked for silverware and napkins. She tossed a total of 5 napkins for all ten of us onto a wet spot and didn’t grab us silverware. Took her almost 7 minutes to grab a water (again the place was almost empty). Then when we payed (I only got a drink and our total was 3.62$) she gave us our “change” back (4$) and just walked away. Our change should’ve been 6.38. I really didn’t care about the change but the whole situation was just rude and uncomfortable. I then had to walk around the entire restaurant and find a random server to ask for our server grace because we were given incorrect change. She then marched up angrily and said “I gave you your 4$ so idk” and I looked at her, showed her our receipt, and then pulled up my calculator and told her what my change should’ve been. She then said “we’ll I don’t have coins so” and I was like okay but I’d like the rest of my change? Then she gave me 4$. Food looked...
