probably should have read the negative reviews first, especially with the manger Amber, but we will get to that in a second.
The wife and I went tonight for a little date night, were kids free for a couple hours. The first time there the. experience was a bit rough, but it was crowded so why no give it another chance.
Our waitress was ok , we got the wings and I ordered that wild West shrimp, something like that, and it was really really salty, I told the waitress and she goes I will go ask about how much salt they use, I was confused I said they were salty, she just and left and came back and said she talk to her manager and they would take it off. as if doing Mr a favor Our steaks come, wife goty vegetables and her Mac and cheese. I got my steak and nothing else, I asked the waitress about my Mac and cheese and vegetables, I swear she said they weren't on your plate. Thought she would have noticed that.
The wife ordered her steak medium and she cut into and it was allot closer to rare, so since my glasses were in the car I picked some random waiter and asked how her steak was cooked he said rare. I told him how she ordered it and he said he would bring a new one. The manager Amber came over, right off the bat tried to question if we ordered it right, then questioned why she cut into twice( didn't eat any) I told her the previous experience the steak was beyond nasty looking when they refired it. after her going back and forth standing over my wife she said she would get a new one. Well here's comes the kicker, the manager comes back slams the plate , stands over my wife and rudely says she is going to stand there and wait till she cuts into it, the look on her face when it was completely rare and then she says we temp, I had to stop her there cause their thermometers must be bad. I looked at my wife and said lets go, Amber said how would you like to settle the bill, I said what, she then said she would take my wife's off, but looked at mine, I said I'm not sure where your from but I don't eat unless my wife eats and I didn't touch my food. she said she would call the authorities, I said do what you have to, and I'll leave my number up front as they can call me. We did drink the lemonade which was good and I left $10 to cover that. I will say this much, the next person that you decide to stand over and try to do your intimidating tactics and the grotesk unprofessional practices, of something your own staff and you saw in front of your eyes bad food. Make sure it is not a person that runs the largest hotel around, and owners that own many other locations, when their groups of sporting competitions with families or corporation conventions come in, they recommend places to eat, as it's important to help each other out in the hospitality business. As the owner of this franchise, you might want to read your reviews as this particular manager has nothing but the same complaints over and over.
I do look forward to hearing from you...
Read moreI am giving this place only 2 stars because of the desert because the services was terrible. We came in to have dinner and when we were approached by the waitress all she said is our food is very flavorful okay thats great. Ordered chicken and ribs and my husband a steak. First the chicken tasted like i was eating the whole container or salt! Even my husband who loves salt said his steak was extremely salty and he puts lots of salt on his stuff. Waitress asked how the food was and i attempted to tell her but she kept walking till she realized that i said the chicken was too salty for me. So she says to me i told you our food is flavorful (what!! flavor is seasonings not a bag of salt) then she says do you want them to make you something different and i was very appreciative of that but i started talking telling her i liked the ribs so instead of the chicken can they just give me a pork chop just 1 to replace the salt stick chicken and she walked away. They bring me out the pork chops dinner and the manager said i had them make you all new sides but all i wanted was 1 pork chop to replace the chicken that tasted sooo bad. I handed the manager the other plate and said thank you. The waitress in the mean time took my husbands glass for a refill and did not come back with the refill for almost 15 minutes (seriously). We then ordered desert and i asked for the bill… hmmm they charged me for the pork chop dinner and another 14 bucks for a half slab of ribs. When i asked the waitress she told me well yes you asked for the pork chop dinner and i told her no i asked for 1 pork chop but since she was not listening to us at all when we were talking she decided what i wanted for me. I have been to this restaurant in various locations and i have to say the food was always good till this visit. Flavorful is not the description of the seasoning basically it is just a ton of salt in everything!! Think we will skip longhorn...
Read moreI met friends at 5:30 on a Tuesday and we were seated right away. A server came pretty quickly to take our drink and appetizer orders. Then we waited a while. Once it arrived, the "tunions" (or whatever they're called) were hot and tasty. The server then took our dinner orders and brought bread. I ordered the half rack of ribs with salad and mashed potatoes. The salad came out in a reasonable time and it was really good. I really enjoy a good blue cheese dressing and this was. Then it was a bit of a wait for our mains, not too bad. I don't blame the server for this, it seemed like the kitchen may have been backed up. The friendly server was apologetic about it. As soon as my entree plate was set down I could tell this wasn't what I was really expecting. The ribs had sauce poured over them but it didn't appear they ever hit the grill. Under the sauce, there were some grill marks but it seemed more like the ones that come on the prepackaged ribs from the grocery store than from the grill. I also got a side bowl of barbeque sauce which I didn't need since they were already swimming in sauce. There was a perfectly formed scoop of mashed potatoes with a button of butter in the middle. Sadly, they were barely warm. I ate a couple of the ribs and decided to just finish my salad since it was so good and have some more bread, also good. I wasn't planning on taking my leftovers home but then I thought maybe if I threw them under the broiler they'd be better so I took them home. Tonight I fired up my broiler and put the ribs in until they were bubbly and a little caramelized. Bringing them home was the right choice. They were very tasty this second time around. So my advice if you're going to order ribs, just ask them to wrap them to go straight away and enjoy your salad and bread. Take your ribs home and give them a few minutes under the broiler or on the grill. I think it's the best way to go for...
