Kids Empire Algonquin — Attraction in Dundee Township

honest review:

I booked a party for my daughter’s birthday 11.16.24, paid $150 deposit & the additional $618 was paid upon arrival. We were never informed of “Cards only” (even with the confirmation call a day prior), until we were at the register with our cash pulled out. We paid $39.99 per child, ALLOWED ONE ADULT (pizza, apple juice and water, because they didn’t even provide the unlimited fruit snacks). Normal admission you can pay $19.90 allowed TWO adults.

We were pointed to our party area, and shortly after our host Austin arrived and explained the time line of the party. Not long after I noticed we had no drinks on the table, although we paid for unlimited in our package. I asked who supplied them and Austin stated him, to which I asked if we could get some started for all the guests. We were also supposed to be supplied “unlimited fruit gummies” like the website said, not a single child or adult received any fruit snacks.

We went and asked for more two litters, to which they were trying to charge us, when in reality Austin should have provided them.

Ten minutes before the party was ending Austin & fellow employee, stood hands out with garbage bags for me and my guests to start throwing stuff away because “they had another party after this”. Might I add we paid for their services, although we had no issues helping.

We were also supposed to have a certificate with all of the party guests signature’s, that was also forgotten and never given to us.

Oh & you’re not allowed to hang any party decor so you should just buy stuff to decorate a table , because “the paint will rip off”.

I can say I appreciate the free $10 play card & free visit back, but to host a party here is just disappointing. How is it fair to allow two adults to someone who pays $19.90 ($5 per additional), stated on the Kidsempire website. Then on the other hand, charge $39.90 with One adult per child ($15.00 per additional). Please make the math & logic make sense. Feel free to reach out to me with any comments, questions...

My 3 & almost 5 year old love this place, the extras are a certainly pricey and don't on a very confusing way (some are 5,6, 16😳 flames, but nothing is less than 5, just change it to 1 so I'm not stuck with some random number at the end) but they can have fun without them for the most part If you have teeny tiny ones there is a nice play area for them but you might have to police the older kids going into this area yourself as the staff don't and many of the parents don't either 🤦‍♀️

I will add, for the "extras" please adjust the air hockey table, 5 points and it shuts off? That was literally 15 seconds with my 3 year old hitting it in his own slot. Put a timer on it instead Also the motorbikes seem dangerous and I can't even figure how long (or should I say short) of time they even get but the corners get these kids stuck and I'm sure about half of this tiny amount of time is spent either stuck in a corner or stuck behind an abandoned bike and I can't believe there isn't something soft on those bumpers, seems like a broken ankle risk, for the kids as well as the parents trying to get in to give more flames

I'll be back, my kids have fun, just trying to figure out how to navigate some of these extras but every place has positive and negatives depending on kids ages and such

The best thing is the security for on and out so if I lose track of my kids it's still extremely unlikely they could ever try to walk out the door without me knowing like some other places and the seating for parents and lockers and bathrooms are nice plus they have a nice array of...

Worst experience ever if I could give negative 100 stars I would. I came here for a birthday party and was harrassed by the manager saying I have my shoes on… I have a medical condition so when I walked in the lady said I could keep my shoes on. I’m kneeling by the play area and I had 3 different people come up to me saying I couldn’t have my shoes on and I explained that I have a medical condition they were like well then you have to sit or we’re gonna have to ask you to leave??? Joseph the manager processed to laugh in my face!!! Wow just wow .. I was so upset and the parents of the birthday party asked if I was ok.. unreal I have to sit down or I have to leave bc I have shoes on??
