La Sierra Mexican Grill Dundee — Restaurant in Dundee

I'm a traditional guy, or at least I'd like to think so. I was born and raised on traditional Mexican food so for me, it's my go to comfort food. Refried beans, rice, and tortillas are the staples and when I go to a Mexican restaurant, I want nothing particularly fancy nor do I desire some clever reimagining of these basic foods. I just want something that resembles what my grandma and my mother made for me when I was a child.

Enter La Sierra Mexican Grill: best Mexican food I've ever had? Well for that everyone is competing against mi mama y mi abuela, and they always win. But when I came to La Sierra I was looking for that taste of home, and by Jove I found it! Refried beans, rice, and tortillas. I ordered the pollo enchiladas y la cocina it delivered man!

Again, I'm a simple guy. You shake hands, it's a deal. I give you my word, it's as good as done. You break an agreement, there's... consequences. I ask for Mexican food at a Mexican restaurant: I get Mexican food.

Now I won't go into what part of Mexico it tastes like or if it is as good as YOUR grandma's cooking, because all those things are subjective. But if you're a white person in America in Dundee and you're already up to your eyeballs in wine (your lips are purple), this food will most definitely hit the spot, and you'll roll home happy and stuffed in your Defender.

Solid drink menu. Good vibes. Seeing other paisanos eating here is a good sign. I felt the kitchen had better music than what the dining room had playing, but hey that's just my personal opinion. 10/10 I would recommend this place...

We've been to every Mexican restaurant from McMinnville to Newberg and this is by far the best around. Service is always great, food portions are generous, and everything is delicious! It's our go-to place. If you're trying to choose the best restaurant for an A+ meal and service I've done all the work finding the best. You won't be disappointed. In addition, my 78 year old mother has had major health issues and when I took her here for her birthday they really went all out to make her day special. First time I have seen her genuinely delighted in two years. I just haven't found a better place from McMinnville to Tigard.. Love it! Fresh and delicious food. Huge portions. Definitely worth the try. We were headed to Portland anyway and stopped for dinner. We sat in the bar area. A few tables around filled with friends, food and laughter. I got the burrito bowl. Had plenty of leftovers too. Staff was very friendly and attentive. It was busy and we were in the bar area.
