We went to Tina's June 1, 2025 to celebrate my birthday. We left the following day for a month long trip so I am just now writing our review. We had been to Tina's before , and always enjoyed it and would say we had in the past always considered Tina's one of the nicer fine dining experienced in the state of Oregon. Our June 1, 2025 visit changed all of that, it was a disaster. The ambiance was fine, the food and the cocktails were nice but the service was the worst I have ever experienced in my life, in any restaurant in the US or in Europe, and this is over a 50 year time span. The service problem I mentioned all stemmed from our main server, a woman, maybe in her 30's who was just plain mean and nasty. We had a 5:00 pm reservation. By 5:05 my wife and I had each ordered a cocktail and when they were served at 5:15 (very politely by the bartender) our main server took our order for an appetizer. In another minute or so our waitress asked if we had decided what we would like to order for dinner and we said, no we hadn't decided and we weren't ready to place our order yet. She came back one minute later and said " you must give me your order now, immediately !" I said we weren't quite ready and could we please have a few more minutes to make our choices and in a very nasty way she said, "no, you must give me your order now, I can not wait even one more minute." We need to keep the orders flowing in to the cooks in the kitchen and I can not give you any more time. So, as I shook my head in total disbelief at the nastiness and rudeness of our waitress, we wanted to get up and leave, but having already received our drinks and put in an appetizer order, that didn't seem to be an option so we gave her our dinner order, ate our meal and left, being blown away that any server would ever treat any customer that way, especially in a fine dining establishment like Tina's. Needless to say, we will never go back to Tina's. It is hard to believe that the Tina's management staff could hire a server like that. She behaved more like a prison guard or an army drill instructor. The sad thing about this is that everything else about Tina's is great, but this mean spirited server ruined the experience and so we will never return. My wife and I are both quite polite, considerate and easy to please and certainly didn't deserve to be treated so poorly. Mark R PS the experience with our primary server was our main criticism but interestingly, there was another female server that stopped by our table a couple of times and made a few, under her breath snide comments and when it came time for dessert, our waitress didn't present the dessert menu to us but rather it was delegated to a young girl who was the water server. She spoke very little English, could barely read off the menu options, and clearly had no idea what most of the desserts even were. It was embarrassing for her to be put in that position and we felt...
Read moreWe asked locals where they go for fine dining. Many people recommended Tina’s. It’s a quaint restaurant that features a placard champagne topper with your reservation name on the table. Our server was kind and friendly, but left out other choices we saw at other tables. She failed to answer questions directly leading us to guess what to order. My friend’s pork chop was on the dry side, and my duck breast was really only 5 slices of breast about 1/2” thick and two inches long, so they were skimping on the portions and still charged $58, despite the menu saying it’s a full breast. The cobbler dessert was delicious but hardly a cobbler… it was a tart in a small ramikan, with a scoop of ice cream. In fact, my friend asked for some extra ice cream since she described the cobbler as being a healthy amount of crumbles on top (conspicuously absent)) and we were charged an extra $6 for the extra scoop on top of the $16 per dessert cost. She also told us when we asked for our check that a gratuity service charge had already been added! No mention of this practice until we got the bill and we were simply a twosome. That was just weird and made us feel strange about leaving another tip on top so we didn’t. All in all, Tina’s was much like what Oregon wine tasting has become: $70 per person wine tasting fees that allow newbies to finally say they have gone wine tasting. For comparison, we recently went to Sonoma and Healdsburg and tasting was more reasonable at $20 average, typically waived with a wine purchase of a bottle. Fine dining is truly fine in Sonoma where prices are justified by exceptional farm-to-table cuisine, where chefs study under greats and have actually gone to cooking school, where service includes servers wearing nice clothes, using crumbers on tablecloths where customers are cared for to make their experience exceptional. By the way, take a coat if you go to Tina’s. They keep the temp at 68 degrees so that servers can remain cool. The customers are less important.
Feedback from customers following Tina’s response: Customers Beware! Did you notice how the response to my original critique came a whole month following our experience? None of that first paragraph is accurate. We are shocked that Tina’s doesn’t decide an apology is the way to go! Not going to spend much time here other than to say that all restaurants have a bad evening here and there, and they were at the bottom of their game this night. Pretty...

The culinary experience is nothing short of remarkable. It begins with their heavenly oyster appetizers, bursting with fresh, briny goodness that sets the tone for the meal. The star of the evening is undoubtedly the steak—cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with a masterful blend of herbs that enhance its natural flavor. To round off the meal, their seasonal cobbler offers a delightful finale, combining warm, fruity notes with a perfectly crisp topping that leaves a lasting impression.
Complementing these exquisite dishes is the impeccable service. The attentive and friendly staff ensure each course arrives promptly, enhancing the overall serene dining experience.
