I recently had the pleasure of dining at Eddie's Bar and Grill in Dunedin, and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. From the warm and inviting atmosphere to the delectable food options and stellar service, Eddie's Bar and Grill is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Dunedin.
One of the things that struck me upon entering the restaurant was the cozy ambiance. The dim lighting, rustic decor, and comfortable seating created the perfect setting for a relaxing evening. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner for two or a casual gathering with friends, Eddie's Bar and Grill has a welcoming atmosphere suitable for any occasion.
The menu at Eddie's Bar and Grill is diverse and offers something for everyone. The variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts impressed me, and the quality of the food surpassed my expectations. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was impeccable.
I had the pleasure of trying their signature dish, the Eddie's Burger. It was absolutely mouthwatering! The patty was juicy and cooked to perfection, topped with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and a special sauce that added an extra burst of flavor. The accompanying fries were crispy and seasoned just right. It was clear that the kitchen takes great pride in the quality of their ingredients and the skill with which each dish is prepared.
The service at Eddie's Bar and Grill was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were quick to accommodate any special requests and made sure that every detail of our experience was taken care of. The waitstaff was prompt in offering their recommendations and ensured that our glasses were never empty.
To complement the wonderful food and service, Eddie's Bar and Grill offers an impressive selection of beverages, including a diverse cocktail menu, a wide range of beers on tap, and an extensive wine list. The bartenders are skilled mixologists who are more than happy to create a unique drink tailored to your preferences.
Overall, my experience at Eddie's Bar and Grill was nothing short of fantastic. From start to finish, every aspect of the dining experience was meticulously handled. Read moreDecided to try the "All You Can Eat Boneless Wings & French Fries", which they probably shouldn't use pictures of bone-in wings to advertise, because the small, overcooked, white meat nuggets we got were extremely different.
Tried the Teriyaki sauce for the first set, and about 5 nuggets in the sauce is just so overwhelmingly salty you can't take anymore. Unfortunately the fries are also doused in it so ate what we could, but because there were still fries swimming in sauce we were never allowed to have more.
She also insisted on having the wings plain because "they're so good that way, it's the best!" and after trying their sauces, I understand why she says that.
If you're used to standard buffalo sauce, avoid this place at all costs, because their version tastes like pickle juice mixed with vinegar, it is TERRIBLE, and you don't get any kind of heat until Hot, which isn't a lot and does nothing to mask the "flavor".
I tried every single sauce on the menu for the wings (some I even insisted her not to bring me, and she ignored me and brought it anyway), and either the taste was too vinegary, too salty, or too greasy. Ended up with a table full of sauce containers, a half order of fries swimming in teriyaki sauce, and a plate of overcooked plain chicken wings which are dry and flavorless plain.
I asked if a manager was available to speak to, and the girl vanished never to be seen again. I asked our main server if there was a manager I could speak to and was told no but that she could help me.
She couldn't help me. All of the sauces were awful, the best part was the fries and they drown them in sauce and refuse you any more, and the chicken was overcooked and bland. Even if you do manage to stomach your way through the soaked fries, they still won't bring you more and will insist on the terrible chicken instead.
Charged full price for a meal I ate less than half of, no apologies or anything. Won't...
Read moreI adopted a dog with severe separation anxiety, so I make it a point to bring him everywhere I can. After doing some research, Eddie’s stood out as dog friendly but honestly, it turned out to be more dog friendly than I ever expected.
The moment we arrived, the bartenders lit up when they saw the pup. We were immediately greeted with water for us and a bowl for him. The patio is shaded, breezy, and well set up with fans. My dog stayed cool the entire time, even in the Florida heat. What really got me was the dog menu with actual unseasoned food options just for him. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare.
The atmosphere is super chill with three distinct areas depending on your vibe: restaurant seating, a high top bar area, and a family friendly patio. The arcade inside kept my kids happily entertained while we waited on food, and every staff member they interacted with was genuinely kind and helpful. They even went out of their way to help my kids reconnect with me when I could not go inside with the dog.
The food is incredible. Seasoned fries done just right, maybe the best chicken tenders I have ever had, and I am now completely hooked on their Reuben rolls. Great beer selection too. I found a new favorite I have not seen anywhere else.
Every time we go, the service is on point. Whether it is a new face or a familiar one, the staff are fast, friendly, and real. Even the regulars are great, especially on the patio where dog lovers hang out and offer treats to every pup who walks by.
It is rare to find a spot that feels this welcoming for me, my kids, and my dog. Eddie’s has that small town pub energy, even in the middle of a big city. It is officially our go to spot...
