Eddie's is very open with plenty of room to find a seat at the bar, a table, or to roam around and meet new folks. The large garage doors open and let in the constant Gulf breezes. There is a designated smoking section on the west side and it doesn't interfere with lunch unless you are sitting there. There are plenty of flat screens and a game area where your kids (that's right! family friendly) can play. Minors are allowed until 9PM. This is one of our neighborhood stops on the way to or from the Dunedin Causeway or Honeymoon Island. We wanted to watch the Women's World Cup šŸ† with other people, so we walked down to Hurricane Eddie's. They open at 10:30 AM, which was great because the game was slated to begin at 11. We got a few beers šŸ» to watch pre-game and other locals began coming as well. The beer was ice cold (yes, I BMOCoozie) and reasonably priced. They have bucket specials if that's your jam. The kitchen opens at 11AM, so we ordered straight away. The food was hot and delicious- no complaints at all. The staff is fantastic and checked to be sure we had cold beers on the way if needed. The game was great šŸ‘ āš½šŸ† and the crowd was fun. Look in the local flyers for BOGO drink coupons and make your way there.

Hurricane Eddie’s sits right on the Dunedin Causeway, a prime spot if you want to grab a drink with friends by the water. The place itself has plenty of room, lots of seating, and an easygoing vibe that works well for groups. The food is straightforward. The wings were standard, fried plain with sauce on the side, and the chicken wrap was fine but not memorable. It is typical bar food that does the job without offering anything special. The drinks and service are where Eddie’s stands out. Beers are cold, prices are easy on the wallet, and both bartenders and servers kept things moving with friendly and attentive service. If you are coming for excellent food you will probably find it average. If your goal is to hang out with friends, enjoy cheap drinks, and count on good service in a relaxed spot, Hurricane Eddie’s delivers.

Best bar in north Pinellas, hands down. Clean, fun and friendly. Also one of the last true ā€œBarsā€ around, everything is a ā€œbar and grillā€. This is my cheers and that’s the highest compliment I can give. With a little love, this could be a staple ā€œbeach barā€ on every list for Tampa Bay visitors. On the weekends this place gets rocking and has a great, young vibe. Weekdays are the best friendly local scene you will find, great people, great bartenders (love you new Fallon!). H-E is more fun than the Eddie’s Bar and Grill down the way on 19 (normal bar fare offerings), which is great, but expected. You can’t get better than watching Bucs or Bolts games here! Love this place.

Would normally give 5 stars. Been coming here since it opened and has been our favorite weekly visit.Ā  The serversĀ  have been amazing untill the last few monthsĀ Ā  TodayĀ  we wereĀ  attendedĀ  to once in 45 minutes. Last time we were there our server spent more time in the bathroom with a friend then tending to the cusotmers.Ā  It also seemed like sheĀ  was on a drug as she was really having a hard time not slurring.Ā  I'm not sure whats been going on but the ones you have now are nice but they seem to have a hard timeĀ  seeing past the exitement at the bar.Ā  I want a reason to tip big again. We loveĀ  you Eddies.Ā  Please bring back better service!Ā  I'm disapointed to say that we wont be going back there again anytime soon but will check in again eventually to see if it gets better.Ā  I'll update this post then.

Long Over Due Update: 3/25/23

Changed from 3 to 4 stars... would be 5 if they brought food back. šŸ˜‰

Service is great! Well done selecting and keeping this crew! All the bartenders work hard to keep everyone happy! Still my favorite place to unwind at sunset.

Joey is always nice...

Hidden gem on the causeway! Hurricane Eddie’s is exactly what a good dive bar should be — laid back, full of character, and always welcoming. It’s got that local charm that’s hard to find these days. The bartender is fantastic — super friendly and on top of everything. You’ll always feel like a regular here, even if it’s your first time.

It’s open-air, which gives it a great beachy feel, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable. The food is way better than you’d expect from a little dive bar — definitely worth ordering. Plus, there are pool tables, darts, and just an all-around good vibe, especially if you're looking for something casual and unpretentious.

If I had one suggestion — they could use some better lighting in the parking lot. It’s easy to miss, and some people might not realize they’re open. A little live music now and then would take it up a notch too.

Still, this place is a solid spot to hang with friends, grab a drink, and feel like you’re part of the local scene. Don’t...
