Sully's Tavern — Restaurant in Dunedin

Stopped in before the baseball game. Sat at the end of the bar. Ordered our beers. Served quickly. Then, it happened. The bartender lit up her cigarette and chain smoked right on top of us as she was in-between customers. Her black dog was behind the bar and was sitting on the bar equipment. My draft beer was served with a loving black hair in it. Ugh. But we stayed and ordered another one trying to not let this be the thing that drove us away. Eventually, we grew tired of the smoke in our faces so we paid and left.

I reviewed this place on YELP to which the new owner responded. He apologized for the bartender's actions saying he thought he had taken care of the smoking issue. He invited us back but honestly we haven't been back. I would go again but not with the same bartender. I almost feel obligated to tip anymore and I do not want to give her our money.

This is my very first time checking out this establishment. The atmosphere was very welcoming unfortunately the only downside. There was a semi-strong unpleasant odor similar to the green stuff. Other than that the pool tables were in very good condition and the felt had no cracks or tears in it. Prices of the drinks were very affordable and the bartender was very knowledgeable. I will also point out that they have the typical bar snacks in a vending machine there. This is a superb local Dunedin bar. Once upon a time I ate fried chicken like a boss. I’ll tell you about Sullys. They have two pristine pool tables, dart boards, a virtual bowling game, one of those drop your quarter til the end of time gambling games, a wooden table that seems like curling but it’s got sand and the pucks fall off the side.
