Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Dunmore

I’ve been visiting this Rita’s since I moved to Dunmore a few years ago, though I must admit, while recovering from my tonsillectomy, I’ve probably been to this location more in the past two weeks than I have been since I moved here.

I felt it necessary to share that I came by tonight (08/11/22) and was greeted by the same associate that has been there every night I’ve visited around 7p this summer. She always has a smile on her face and is always so kind to me. I typed on my phone that I have lost my voice since my surgery, and asked if I could give my order this way (by typing it out). She was incredibly patient and accommodating while waiting on me and even wished me well in my recovery. Having her encouragement made me feel a lot better today and I appreciate it more than she might ever know!

I’ve always enjoyed coming to this location, especially since they always have the best selection of flavors, but really, what makes my experience the best here, is how heartfelt the associates always are — especially this one.

Great place great employees and friendly. The best ice around I mean every ritas has the best ice but this location in dunmore you can call a day prior to coming ask to make a particular ice you want and go the next day and they'll have it ready for you and for people that arent from Pennsylvania or new jersey its definitely a must stop cause its the best italian ice in the world nothinh can compare!Great for kids they can build their own ice or misto shakes of any flavors mixed together and topping like teddy bears etc... my kid loves it. You can do the same with the custard. And when it's nice out there's benches you can sit around together and talk. They're not expensive and with the ice they always have deals money off to buy a certain amount just ask. This place was fantastic, the options were amazing and the staff was so kind. If you're looking for a clean, pleasant experience with a different flavor combo for every day of the month visit Rita's. The counter seems handi- accessable and there is parking right outside ( we walked ). I've seen them get busy during the summer so plan accordingly, you might be in line for a few minutes because there's so many choices to pick from a family in front of you will be a while.
