I have visited multiple times in an effort to eat every sandwich/item on the menu before writing a review. Today I ate the Elevated BLT and completed my quest. Having first visited on opening day I can say the staff’s efficiency has increased exponentially (especially as it’s no longer a 20 person line before opening) and the house made bread recipes have stabilized to a very consistent firmness and flavor with my preferred option for most of the sandwiches being sourdough. In the past sometimes the sourdough would become a little soggy and tear from vinaigrette, but as Tom and his staff have honed their bread recipe and ingredient volumes that is no longer an issue. My favorite sandwich is the Incognito. I love the apricot jelly adding sweetness and color to make it a very unique and flavorful sandwich that’s best for lunch or pre-dinner. The Turkey Avodevo is a close second and it is definitely a heartier portion than the other cold sandwiches. The “regular” sized poutine is massive and probably best shared with someone if you’re eating a sandwich too, it’s a great value. Tom has worked through the kinks since opening day and improved his team’s processes and us customers’ experiences. Read moreI have been back twice since my original post. Both time my experience was exceptional. Thanks Tom for being so quick to take care of my complaint. It means the world to have a owner that cares and is so quick to get things back on track.
After reviewing, Tom reached out to express his concern. I will return soon and see if this was a one time thing. The food has been excellent up to now. I hope they can get this corrected with proper training.........
Original review... Just had a burnt middle cut sandwich given to me. After complaining they remade but it was still burnt tasting. After looking at the griddle, I know why it was that way. The griddle was smoking and covered with black burnt material. I have worked as a chef for many years and it is obvious that the young man on the line didn't know any better or just didn't care that he was ruining everything that he put on. The food has been incredible here since it has opened and Tom has always been there. This time it was horrible and he was no where around. Read moreThe Rueben was really soggy Reuben’s are always the way to know if a deli is really a deli and this sandwich missed the mark A real Reuben has sautéed sauerkraut and this was just a lot of wet So much so the bread fell apart The corned beef was just okay The fries were horrible They put them in the fryer too long, or refried them cause they had no fluff that is normal in a “fresh cut” French fry The kids working there were fast, but everyone knows, speed kills Quality comes with care I just wasn’t that impressed and neither was my friend who I shared lunch with She had the BLT and the bacon is like cold fat with some tendrils of meat The tomato was fresh and her sourdough bread stayed mostly together The place has a garage band atmosphere and so we got it to go I’m all for youngsters making a buck But honestly you guys really need experienced cooks ✌️♥️😇 Especially when you are knocking on ten bucks...
