La Gruta Signature Cuisine — Restaurant in Durant

After a year of living in Durant and frequenting this restaurant, it is well past due that La Gruta receives a 5 star review all around from me.

This restaurant is the most delicious authentic Mexican food north of the border. I’ve never ordered something here that I didn’t love and I recommend a stop to everyone that hasn’t been yet. The salsas and tortillas are incredible and, in my opinion, are what set this restaurant a notch above the rest.

The frequent new menu options always give my wife and I something new to try and we’ve never been disappointed by an order. Sometimes there are even things on the menu that step outside of the usual expectations! Finding out that La Gruta started serving boba was a great surprise and my wife and I hope that it’s here to stay!

This place!!!! We heard it talked about at Choctaw Casino in Durant. Buzzing around the poker room…it is the place to go. After hours when other restaurants in the casino aren’t open, skip the “Bell” and get an authentic and delicious taco! I had a pork belly taco and a grilled steak taco. If y'all want the best food in Durant, this is the place to go. Chef Carlos is one of the best Chefs that I have ever had the honor of working with in a 35 year long career. The food he provides is the best quality that he can produce and is well worth every penny spent. Chef Janelle is I've if the most personable people I've ever met and treats everyone with a contagious smile. They truly enjoy everything they're doing and it shows in everything they do.
