Shout out from out of towners! Broken Arrow, Ok.
This is by far the biggest and most I've had to say about a restaurant...well ever.
We chose to try this restaurant based on local reviews and we weren't disappointed!
Absolutely wonderful. Our service was fast, timely and very well executed. We got recommendations from our very prompt and helpful waiter, Dalton. We enjoyed the alla Panna dipping sauce, thanks to him. It was aromatic with a creamy freshly seasoned tomato sauce. My 3 year old decided it was so good it was a soup. So we decided to devour it as such. Lol
The service was fantastic and very well organized. They even had a party of 20 people and prom guests also among the regular dinner crowd and the wait staff handled it like pros. So shout out to the owner for providing exceptional training and prep skills to his staff. Your hard work as well as theirs shows.
Now, onto the food...from a food snob. "Yes, I'll admit it". -promise it is worth the read.
Salad dressing recommended was the house Italian dressing. It had a zesty sweet balsamic vinegar distinction to it. Fantastic! It's one of those dressings that you have once and get sad cause you know you don't know the recipe and you live 3 hours away from the restaurant that serves it. It was that good! I would pay big money just to find out the recipe.
Entrees included my absolute favorite - shrimp avanti. This dish included fresh prepped jumbo shrimp placed on a bed of perfectly cooked al dente pasta soaked in a piquant spiced tomato broth. Superb! We also enjoyed their seafood alfredo, lasagna and manicotti which were easily the best we've ever had. - coming from someone who has visited almost every state and a large amount of other countries. Durant- I'm very jealous that you all have gained such a great restaurant. You should be very thankful and happy to have them. The northeastern portion of Oklahoma would gladly welcome your restaurant if you decide to branch out. ;)
It was so nice to finally enjoy fresh made Italian food with non processed foods containing large amounts of soy. I am soy intolerant and most restaurants use products containing soy as it's cheaper to produce and not lacking flavor. Unfortunately it leaves me extremely sick, very quick. So being able to actually enjoy Italian to its fullest extent was indescribable especially knowing that the quality was evident.
This was an exceptional experience all around. Great food, great recommendations and great fun! We will absolutely visit this restaurant again when traveling through as well as for the next year airfest show. Thank you so much for a...
Read more2 weeks ago: Jimmy, the/an owner dealt with a rude driver taking my parking spot as I was backing in. He also personally took my order and made sure my rainbow trout wasn't desecrated by their usual preparation and plating methods. Mine was just skin-on trout. It wasn't anything special and the bartender totally flopped making his rendition of a Long Island Iced Tea. There was no similarity to the real thing except the glass and ice. Today, 11 November, 2023: I went back. This was my third visit and I was aware that this could be the strike out meal so I made it easy on them. I ordered Shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo. How hard do you think it would have been to impress myself by making it at home with no guidance. It wouldn't be hard because I care about the results. It would have cost me less than $2 for the sauce at the dollar store and probably as much for the noodles at the local grocer. Then the higher cost of the shrimp. The meal with a single glass of tea and no offer of a refill cost me $24 with 6 Jumbo shrimp that I trust were actually only large but Jimmy's brother probably took license, when I asked if the shrimp are Jumbo, to treat Jumbo and Large as though they were descriptive words rather than official sizes used to classify shrimp. I recorded a video of the "Alfredo Sauce" FLOWING off my spoon. Can you guess how well it stuck to the noodles? It didn't. Thank goodness for that because it was only worth using as an accent flavor for the bread which, by the way, was the highlight of the meal. The take-away: Roma's doesn't earn loyalty. Aside from this visit, I've had good service but, as I mentioned, the food is not worth of the cost of dining out so this was only my third...
