Wright's Drive In — Restaurant in Durant

This has been one of our families favorite places to eat, but lately it was went WAY downhill!! I don’t know if there has been a manager change or staff changes or what is going on but they do NOT have it going on right now. Last week we went to get our weekly fix of Wright’s and we were very disappointed with the 45 minute wait to get our food that was delivered to our car warm at best. Tonight we parked right in front where we could see what was going on. One by one the cars around us left with food as we waited. We noticed two bags of food sitting in the window (it had to be ours because even people that arrive 15 to 20 minutes after us were long gone by now.) We finally decided to flag the girl down and asked here about our order. She was full of excuses about how they got really busy, and that one of the cooks has been out back for over 30 minutes so there was only one cook working right now. She said she would go check on it for us. I told her that if it turns out that the bags that have been sitting in the window were our’s we do not want them. She could just refund us and we would go somewhere else. She went in and went straight to THOSE same bags, looked at the ticket (which based on her expression was ours) she took the bags to the kitchen (out of view) and immediately came back out and brought us out food. I told her that those were the bags that were in the window and she said no, I made them throw those away and they had just got done remaking our food? Needless to say the food was completely cold so we threw them away and left. I don’t know who runs this business but it is definitely not what...

WrightsDrive-In has been in Durant Oklahoma for many many years we have gone there over the years. Recently they had a fire and have reopened and we decided to visit. We got the burger and fries and now my husband got the smothered hamburger patty with whatever comes with it I forgot and my sister got something else anyway the food was excellent I definitely will go back I would recommend them to you. Now on their chicken fried steak I asked them it is not tenderized and they do not tenderize it so I guess it would depend on your bite LOL that's all I have tried there and we have tried many years but they are swamped all the time so it's more of an old-fashioned you can go in or a car hop will wait on you and bring your food out, or you can get it to go but overall as far as Burgers and Fries and sandwiches and chicken fried steak and all that kind of stuff it's your taste buds but I would recommend it you just have to try it out and see if it works for you but it was very clean service was great the waitress was extremely nice and pleasant so that makes a lot of difference if you find the food that you're looking for but the burger and fries was delicious and my husband and sister seem to enjoy...

My husband and I just ate dinner there and we left full and satisfied. The waitstaff was very nice and that always a plus when you go somewhere to eat. I ordered a hamburger 🍔 and he ordered a Double Cheeseburger 🍔. He gave his a 4 1/2 and I gave mine a strong 4. He said his burger was hot, not greasy and well proportioned with meat to vegetables. I ate most of the Onion 🧅 Rings and I would give them a 4 1/2 to 5. I really liked the taste and crunchiness of them. My husband primarily ate their Tator Tots and he gave them a five. He also got a Peach 🍑 Cobbler w/ Ice Cream 🍨 for dessert. He said it would give it a 3 because it was served with soft serve ice cream 🍦 and thought it tasted average.

Overall, we would give our dining experience a 4 1/2 and will more than likely eat...
