Bruegger's Bagels — Restaurant in Durham

Brueggers really let me down! I planned on going to Brueggers for a bite and leave them a review on their food but now it’s turned to more than just a food review. When I arrived at the Brueggers on 9th street in Durham NC it was going pretty well, the workers were great and greeted me nicely. After ordering my food and paying quite an expensive price for the quality of the food I got I was a little upset but oh well I wanted to try the food anyway. Aside from the food being terrible I was not going to leave a really bad review but now I am highly disappointed and not only am I cheated out of my money at Brueggers but I was cheated out of my money at the Brueggers parking lot. You see as I was in there eating, the manager at Brueggers was calling the tow truck on me, the sign there clearly stated that the parking lot was for Brueggers customers only. What really threw me in shock was that my car was towed from the place that I was a customer at, but then I go in to talk to manager and she was no where to be found, the workers there said she was on the phone. The towing company wasn’t at fault because they were doing their job but they told me that the manager from Brueggers had called them to tow my car. This experience has been the worse because not only did Brueggers get money from my purchase of the food I ate but they got a percentage from my towing expenses. A total of $200 was charged for the car to be released from the towing company and I spent roughly over $11 for the food! Little did they know this is what I do, I go around trying new places and...

Went sunday mid/late morning. My western bagel was delicious. It pretty much tastes the same (so consistent products) at all the locations I have been too.

However, the customer service sucked. The young lady at the register did not want to be there and made sure we all knew by her demeanor and her words. There were three of us together placing our order. My order was done first. She asked me to come up to pay but I told her I was waiting for the other two as we were paying together. She then rolled her eyes and waited. You also have to order coffee at the register. My two companions asked for house coffees and she said they were out. I don't know why they would be out and the day is barely getting started. So one person asked for a hazelnut and the other a dark roast. When she handed it to them, they asked which was which. She smacked her lips and said " I don't know. You can just smell it to find out." Wait,What?! We were tired of her at this point. The two who got coffee did wind up smelling the coffees and having to switch because she gave them the wrong ones. When we paid, we gave her cash and needed change. She then smacked her lips some more and started mumbling and grumbling, I guess because she had to use her brain to count....?

If you don't want to be there, don't show up. Don't treat customers with disdain and disrespect. The food was good but not worth me coming back to...

I tried many Bruegger's bagel location in the Durham area and I like every single one of them. I always order the western bagel w/no bacon and turkey which comes around $4.50 -$4.75 the most. Today I was charge $4.91 + $2.5 for the western bagel w/ turkey & no bacon. When I place my order I forgot to tell him instead of bacon I wanted turkey deli. When I got to my car and took a bite I realized it's missing some turkey. I went back inside and I ask him nicely that I forgot to add turkey deli and boy he got upset." I did what you tell me and I am gonna have to start over" he said throw my bagel straight to the trash and said its gonna be $2 extra for turkey, I said that fine he walked to the female cashier and mumble something to her hear. He was so upset remaking my order that I couldn't stand in front of him anymore so I walked to the cashier and handed her the $2 extra and she said it will be $2.5, I paid it I wanted to get out of there so quick, I felt robe. Every time I've been to Bruegger's they never charge me any extra for my western bagel. My mistake was I should of ask her a receipt for that turkey deli.Today was my first and last time in this location, I will never return to this specific Bruegger's bagel. 11/25/2013...
