Fizzwerks — Restaurant in Durham

My wife and I spotted an article in the latest Indy paper alerting us to the fact that this (fabulous!) restaurant opened late last winter. We dashed over to check it out, and, frankly speaking, the fizz options were quite sophisticated, but perhaps they are not that attractive. BUT we found the food was mind-bogglingly delicious, and the people and the space are top-notch: friendly, caring, actual, real people. The Turkey Sloppy Joe we shared, as well as the grains we selected as a side (instead of fries) were both mind-bogglingly delicious. The Sloppy Joe sports a secret sauce from the chef's mother's kitchen, and, along with the fantastic bread used on this dish, made a mouth-watering experience, from the first bite to the last. In addition to the fascinating Fizz options they have a FULL bar, with careful attention paid to the mixology, plus a selection of beers on tap. There is even live music from time to time. We have been here a few times with our dogs and have had a wonderful experience each time! The owners, Andy and Ragen, are so kind and welcoming. They have created an awesome indoor/outdoor atmosphere, and we love having a drink on the rooftop (fans in the summer and heaters in the winter - and covered so rain is no issue)! Their seltzers are absolutely fantastic. There is a new and unique flavor almost every time we come! And they’re all gluten and sugar free, so I I never feel bloated or tired like I do after drinking beer. You can also mix the flavors! The bartenders are super helpful with that and are quick to offer their favorite combinations! I am currently having the peach and FizzTea combo and loving it!

The food is also fantastic. The menu is unique and everything we have had has been cooked perfectly.

We have also hosted a happy hour here with about 20 people and everyone had a wonderful time! I cannot recommend this...

Super cute place. Dog-friendly (possibly just limited to outside, not sure, but that’s okay because their rooftop patio is so nice!). You can order from your table with a QR code and they just bring everything to you. No worrying about slow service or having to flag someone down. Can also go inside to the bar to order, but I love the option of just relaxing at a table and ordering as you finish your current drinks. Their seltzer selection is awesome for someone who mostly can’t drink beer, and they have an extensive list of cocktail options and even some nice NA options. Will definitely be back — too many seltzers to try in one go, but so many of them...
