I recently visited this McDonald’s location and was extremely disappointed by the service and food quality. On a previous visit, I waited 35-60 minutes for a 10-piece nugget meal. During this most recent visit on December 29, 2024, I waited 25 minutes for a simple order of a 10-piece nugget and medium fries. This was despite there being only five people ahead of me, and another customer had been waiting over an hour for a single cookie.
While my nuggets were fresh and crispy, the fries were warm, soggy, and unappetizing. This inconsistency in food quality, paired with excessive wait times, reflects poorly on the management and operation of this establishment.
As someone traveling to visit my 90-year-old great-great-grandmother in Durham, NC, from Wendell, NC, this was a rare stop for me. Unfortunately, the poor experience left a lasting impression. I strongly discourage others from visiting this location. If service and quality remain this poor, I will contact corporate management to address these ongoing issues.
This visit was unacceptable and has earned this McDonald’s a 1-star review. I hope this feedback encourages improvements for the sake of future customers.

Cleanliness: 3/5. Manager had received a complaint from a customer that the bathroom was disgusting. Apparently it had been the employees job who was currently working the register. Bathroom had feces on the toilet seat and pee on the floors and wall by the urinal. Manager proceeded to have a 7 minute arguing fest about who's fault it was while everyone is waiting in line and getting uncomfortable with the arguing. Cashier is saying "You don't need to be yelling at me." And the manager is saying "I'm not yelling, I'm telling you its your responsibility". Very unprofressional. Manager was free and available and should have taken initiative to clean the restroom herself. Too often these McDonalds managers act as if they are above cleaning anything. Not the case. Do your damn job and work as a team for the ultimate purpose of giving your customers a decent experience.
Service: 4/5. Aside from the rude manager holding up the line, service was fine. Food didn't come out quick.

Read moreIt took approximately 25 minutes or longer to receive part of the order. We had to alert the cashier that we still didn’t have our food. Another lady was having the exact same issue. I told staff that neither of us had received our orders. They took our tickets then asked multiple times for the ticket that another employee had in their possession. While waiting for our food, we observed a drive through employee open several bags and proceed to unwrap the food without wearing gloves. Then put the food in other bags and send it out the drive through window to customers (this happened twice while we watched). When I finally received my order, I was missing two items. After they gave me all of the food they still forgot the condiments I had asked for during the order and after receiving the first bag. When I finally sat down with my family to eat, the other customer was still waiting! She had waited much longer than us!!! Wow, just wow! The frappe was melted completely but I didn’t complain because I didn’t want them spitting in it or worse.
