Pei Wei Asian Express — Restaurant in Durham

I see I'm not alone in my complaint. I went there for lunch 7/16 at about 1 p.m. I ordered my meal and asked for ice water. The young cashier refused to give me water. She only wanted to sell me a soda or bottled water and I did not of course comply. What I should've done was left the food that was in the styrofoam container at the register and walked away. How dare they refuse a customer ice water?

I polled two other fast food places there, one another Asian food one and Charley's Cheesesteak Subs. Both said that they of course give a customer ice water. The guy at Charley's was so nice! He remarked that water is free so of course they give a customer ice water. He asked if I wanted an ice water. I said I'd feel bad since I hadn't eaten there that day. He went ahead and gave me a large glass of ice water.

I will never ever patronize Pei Wei again and I urge others to do the same. They don't need to be doing business in a major mall with these despicable...

Lol wth is this slop? There’s a little bone in my bourbon chicken and the firecracker shrimp has a $1.00 or so upcharge just to be this little piece of shrimp and thick overcooked fried breading. I didn’t even receive a greeting upon arriving, nor a friendly face. I asked for a cup for water, but the young man said they don’t serve water cups and asked if I want a soda or bottled water instead. I said nevermind about the water and happily went to Chikfila for water where the rest of my family ate. Upon paying I said thank you and the cashier immediately began talking to his coworker where both were just leaning on the counter. I should’ve just gone to the other chinese food places; it’s a shame this place pulled into the block just to ruin my perspective of the regular Pei Wei. The other reviews can tell you the same!...

Got in line, told them we needed to look at the menu for a moment. They immediately started serving the next person. Fine whatever. We decided what we wanted quickly and waited to be served. They ignored us and continued helping the people coming in from behind us. Finally, they asked us what we were doing. We told them we were ready to order. They told us to get to the back of the line (which was now rather long). I don't usually complain about this type of thing, I get people make mistakes and usually aren't even paid well for the work they do (I work in fast food myself), but this was just ridiculous.

Also, they barely have any vegitarian/vegan options, and what they do have...
