I paid for an order that was never delivered. My mother was transferred to Duke Hospital where she was diagnosed with cancer. My sister and I live out of state but my mother was requesting Chinese food so I located this restaurant near the hospital and scheduled a delivery. Due to Covid19 restrictions a nurse or member of hospital staff now has to meet the driver to pick up the order at the main entrance. The restaurant was informed regarding this when the order was placed and stated that it would take approximately 45 minutes to be delivered so I notified hospital staff. The order took almost 2 hours and I had to reach back out to the restaurant. When the delivery driver initially arrived I called again to let the hospital know, however, being that my mom was located on the 7th floor and it took longer than 5 minutes, the driver called to let me know he had some other deliveries to make and would return. I notified the hospital when he returned but didn’t find out until the next day that the order was never received. I contacted the restaurant and the male that answered was very rude and stated that I would need to speak with the manager who wouldn’t be in until 5 pm. I probably should’ve read the negative reviews before ever placing...

cozy restaurant. i was in the mood for beef chow fun, and a quick google search turned up this place. got there, very unassuming place from the outside, but the inside was packed full of people, plus people coming and going for delivery orders. all of the waiters were hustling for the entire time i was there, but they were still able to be extremely attentive to my needs.

the meal came with a complimentary pot of hot tea, and i quickly forgot how much i had been looking forward to the chow fun. the tea was very good, maybe just slightly paler than black tea, sweet (maybe with sugar or honey because the tail end of the tea didn’t have the acrid flavor that black tea sometimes gives rise to, just a slight enjoyable astringency) with a kind of floral taste that reminded me at times of dried fruits like raisins, apricots, or figs but i couldn’t put my finger on which. i eventually drank the whole pot, and only ate half of my chow fun (which admittedly came in a giant portion). the chow fun was very good, and tasted exactly the way i wanted. i took the rest of my portion home for lunch today, but i barely made it through my front door before going back to finish it off.

will...

Absolute BEST Chinese food anywhere. I have been going here for 18 years. About 5 years ago they use to be very rude ( not surprising with most Chinese restaurants) and I noticed their customers went down but within the last 5 years they have been so so so nice and now their restaurant is overflowing all hours of the day. Did I mention they have the BEST Chinese food ever? Everyone I have ever taken their or who has eaten their say's the same thing. The plates are so beautiful and elegantly laid out with the food. Its very very clean inside the place. When you walk in it feels like you stepped into china, the walls, ceiling, and even the tables are covered in beautiful Chinese art. The staff is very nice and efficient. The guy who fills up your water has been working their for at least 18 years that I know of and puts a freaking bubble on the top its so full, he is amazing. All around a 5 star Chinese restaurant. Again Best...

Of course we had to go to Shanghai Restaurant for Chinese New Year dinner! The food is absolutely amazing and the portions are huge. Everything we ordered took less than 20 minutes to prepare. Tonight’s menu consisted of fried shrimp balls and dumplings appetizers then entrées of sesame chicken, sesame beef, and salt pepper shrimp with a side of garlic yu choy. Honestly, my Chinese mother would be impressed. Also, if you’ve not been to Shanghai in a while, you’re in for a treat. The restaurant has been newly renovated and it looks so good. It still has the authentic Chinese restaurant feel but with a modern twist. Thank you Shanghai for helping us kick off the Year of the Tiger with great food. 🥟🧧🐅

We came as a somewhat large group after a conference session. They accommodated our party relatively quickly, and the service was amazing. I ordered the chicken with broccoli combination, which came with an egg roll, rice, and soup. I got the wonton soup and white rice to go along with my egg roll and entree. The food was delicious and certainly hit the spot. The portions were very generous for the price, as well. I got to take leftovers back to my hotel to enjoy at a later time. The staff were very attentive. One staff member heard me drop my utensil from across the room and a replacement was immediately offered to me, which I was impressed with. I highly recommend dining here!

Food was ok... Typical chinese, I was hoping for more than typical for the price... Above all, I am wondering why I was charged an extra $1.50.... $14.50 + $12.00 + $3.50 = $30.00, NOT 31.50... Its not tax, bc that was added on top of the inflated subtotal... Maybe for the side of general tso's sauce that I did not receive 🤷🏽‍♀️ I guess my fault for not checking my bag before I left. Also, there are mushrooms and zucchini in my food which is not on the menu, good thing I am not allergic... Regretting my $2 tip I gave off the strength of trust... Neither meal was tasty, pretty disappointed because the food used to be good
