Teriyaki Bliss in the Autumn Sun
While walking home on a lovely fall afternoon, I stumbled upon a charming little teriyaki place that seemed to scream, “Eat outside while you still can!” Naturally, I obliged.
I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl, and wow! It was like a warm hug from a long-lost friend. The chicken, grilled to perfection, bathed in a sweet-savory sauce, had my taste buds doing the cha-cha. The rice was fluffy, and the veggies were fresh enough to make you think they just jumped off a farmer's market table—if I knew what that looked like, of course.
As I savored my meal, the sun beamed down, and I had to fend off some curious squirrels who clearly believed my bowl was their next treasure. I perfected my “I will not share” face—an impressive masterpiece, if I do say so myself.
Overall, this teriyaki spot is a must-visit for a delightful meal that pairs perfectly with the last sunny days of fall. Just make sure to bring your sense of humor and maybe a jacket for when the sun sets and the squirrels start...
Read moreUnder new management since April and they have no concept of customer service. Upon walking in, you’re faced with an angry black, white, and red sign that says “We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer.” This immediately makes you feel unwelcome. I asked the owner’s daughter about it and she said “we had to put that sign up to protect our staff from rude customers.” You are in a SERVICE BUSINESS — it’s your JOB to transform unhappy customers into raving evangelists by exceeding their expectations. But if you think that you’re right and the customer is wrong, your business will fail. I give this place less than a year unless they have a total shift in perspective. On a positive note, the salmon...
Read moreI met a group of friends here after hosting an open house for celebration sushi. At 4 pm on a cold Saturday it was quiet inside, but starting at about 5, the take out was hopping. The design of the seating ensures that you aren't hit with a blast of outside every time the door opens.
The special, the Bruce Lee roll, was out of this world! It has fresh jalapeño, and it made it. I'm a moderately spicy girl, and because jalapeños can fluctuate heat level, I was a little nervous, but this was refreshing, light, and the way the flavors unfolded made it really easy to reach for another piece. And another 😅
Everything was appropriately hot/cold. The hot tea hit the spot, the servers were lovely with accommodation needs and a huge order.
The Snoqualmie roll is fantastic 👌
Oh! They had scallop nigiri, and it was SO GOOD. Sweet and fresh, with an entire scallop per piece.
I'm looking forward to coming back...
